Hello, dear friends of Hive, it's a pleasure to be in this beautiful community. Today I tell you a little bit about this beautiful classic of classics.
Days ago, while studying for my midterms, I decided to take a break and watch something that was neither too long nor too short to take my mind off my studies, but I couldn't decide what to watch. So, while browsing my “for you” on TikTok, I came across this beauty, one of my favorite Studio Ghibli films: PONYO.
It's a charming film that explores the friendship between a sea creature and a human child, highlighting the purity of childhood and the connection with nature. The relationship between Ponyo and Sosuke symbolizes how love and acceptance can overcome barriers. As Ponyo becomes human, the desire to explore and experience new things is reflected.
Its vibrant colors, movements, the display of nature and the musical setting reflect the wonderful cinematography that Studio Ghibli made. Whenever I see it, I love it and it makes you want to go inside and be a part of it.

Besides Ponyo and Sosuke, my favorite characters are their mothers. Both have a strong, protective presence that adds depth to the story. Ponyo's mother, as the goddess of the sea, and Sosuke's mother, with her unconditional love, are wonderful examples of maternal strength.
I remember when I was 8 years old, which was the first time I saw it; I wished I had a friendship like Ponyo and Sosuke. I also said I wanted to live in a house like his, high up in the mountains, so I could enjoy the wind and the sea every morning.
I will never tire of watching it; it is like a band-aid to the heart and will always bring me back to childhood.
