Erased The story follows the story of 29-year-old struggling manga artist Satoru Fujinuma, who has a strange power called Revival, which takes him back in time to moments before a life-threatening event, giving him the chance to prevent it.

At first, Revival begins in small moments. But when Satoru's mother is suddenly murdered and he is framed for the crime, that power is activated on a larger scale, sending him back 18 years to his childhood in 1988.

Returning to his 11th year, Satoru realizes that his mother's murder is connected to a series of child kidnappings in his hometown, one of which involves his quiet classmate Kayo Hinazuki. Determined to rewrite history, he begins to befriend Kayo and protect her and others from the tragedy that awaits them.

What follows is a compelling mix of emotional drama, suspense, and mystery. As Satoru tries to piece together the truth and identify the killer, he also relives bittersweet memories of friendship, youth, and loss. Erased It had me hooked from the first episode. This is not just a mystery anime, it's an emotional rollercoaster that hits hard. Watching Satoru relive his childhood while carrying the burden of an adult was both heartbreaking and beautiful.

His bond with Kayo was particularly captivating to me. Their scenes were powerful and often hard to watch but filled with warmth and hope. The suspense is expertly built, and even though the story is only 12 episodes long, it never feels rushed.

The animation is clean, and the soundtrack is especially well-suited to the ReRe theme of the opening theme of Asian Kung-Fu Generation.
