Lookism
Hello everyone! welcome to my blog. Today I want to review another amazing anime which is "Lookisim" it's an anime that has touched my heart from the core. Whenever I think about it alone I feel that how can someone make this incredible concept just by their own thoughts. Like I have never thought of anything like this. For the unique concept I really admire the hard work of the person who has made it. It also portrays our society how one is bullied and we get to live in the life of the character and feel ourselves at his place. The story is not complicated at all they have kept it simple with some good storyline. I feel any group of age will like this anime. I am a old person and I still find this kind of anime very interesting.
It's an adaption of webtoon, I really do not read webtoon but I have noticed that the best animes came from webtoon's which is really surprising. "Lookisim" is actually hitting a different kind of level. Just look at the animation it looks smooth and characters are looking so attractive it's a different kind of art style than what I have seen in most of the animes. This is one of the best messaged animes. I fell in love with the voice cast and sound track. It has perfectly captured big problems of our society.

Plot
The story centers around Park Hyung Suk, he is a high school student who is overweight and constantly humiliated by his classmates. He was devasted from his life as he could do nothing about his situation so he decided to move out of his school and shift to a new one. But one day, he wakes up from a deep sleep and found himself in new body. The guys body he was in it was tall and handsome and quite fit. He found his original body but it was laying on the floor as his real body was sleeping. He discovered that he can switch bodies and transform to his real body when the other body falls asleep.
In his new body Hyung Suk transfers to a different school. In this new school he was admired and respected by people. He got to experience a different life because he was physically attractive. However, as time passed he learned about value of self-worth. Hyung Suk decided to be friends with other students who face struggles just like him.
Review
It is one of the best series that I have watched so far, I can never move this from my favourite list because it's gonna hold a high place forever. Lookism sends a powerful message about beauty standards of our society and teaches us that the true worth does not comes not from appearance, but from one’s personality and action. We need more animes like this because it's hardly to see a series giving us a message. Because most of the time we only watch fantasy related anime which has no meanings only for fun but Lookisim is nothing like that. This anime has raised my standards about Anime.
It was overwhelming to see our protagonist getting better treatment and he was finally happy. Also, we get to see character development. He started to improve by his own he knew what he had to do and that was what I had expected. The characters were awesome too such as Darius Hong he was my favourite. I think every character plays an important role in this anime and no one is left out. We also get to see the journey of our protagonist in his both bodies and that's the best part of this anime.
I have heard there will be a season 2 in 2026, and I am eagerly waiting for it. I think season 2 is going to break the record and would be announced as the best anime of the year 2026. I have seen such a good anime after a long time and I am really happy after watching it. This anime deserves more recognition, and the story deserves to be fully animated! I suggest you all to watch this amazing anime series.
