The Gorilla God's Go To Girl
Hello everyone, here I am with another blog related to anime. I hope I’m not late, I really was hoping to write about this anime earlier. It’s not that well-known, but also not good enough to be famous. It has a unique concept, which I have rarely seen, probably because I’m a beginner. I felt so relaxed when I watched this anime because there’s nothing complicated, just a simple story. If you like slow-burn romance plus comedy, then this is going to be the perfect choice. I like watching this type of story, so I finished it in just one day.
A girl becoming a knight with gorilla powers is not something you usually see. Like, who would imagine a girl having the powers of a gorilla? It could be something cute like a cat or a dog, but our protagonist went straight for a gorilla. Basically our protagonist is a pretty girl with the strength of a gorilla. She broke everything she touched, which I think is overpowered. Anyway, you can't try to find logic in anime. It's definitely a fantasy story, and I should be enjoying it with a free mind.

Plot
Sophia is a shy girl who completely lacks confidence. She is blessed by the Gorilla God, which means she’s the most powerful person. She wanted to hide in the background because she didn’t want to be noticed. But eventually, she was asked to join the knights because of her powers. She had to take an examination to join the knights, so she planned to fail and return. But when she met the handsome knight named Louis Scarrel, she decided to give it a try. Her journey begins as she learns new things and takes on the role of protector. As time passes, she gains self-esteem and forms new friendships among the knights.
Review
Let me be honest the female protagonist is so gullible. Most of the time, she is shy or running away from situations. I have never seen her doing something for herself. Also, she is very weak-minded not the kind of female lead I could look up to. I don’t mean that being shy is a bad thing, but she’s overdoing it. I really don’t like it when they portray the female lead as dumb and with no personality at all. Most of the time, it felt like she has no brain cells. I would like it if there is some character development in the next season.
One thing is for sure: both the female and male protagonists are on the wrong side of justice. They are protecting those rich people who don’t even care about the common people, so I feel the story is going somewhere wrong. Or maybe I’m thinking too much? Anyway, I think the story is poorly executed. The animation is good not that bad.
Oh, another thing it didn’t feel like a reverse harem. It was more like friendship with everyone. There are so many boys around the female lead, so I thought it was going to be a reverse harem. Each and every male character looked attractive, so I did ship her with everyone. But Leohart is cunning and manipulative, so I don’t want her to end up with him, even though he is very handsome. If he changes, then I can think about it. But for now, a big NO to him.
I would rate it 4 out of 10 because I liked a few things, but mostly I disliked it. This is the first anime that I am so dissatisfied with. So yeah, that was my personal opinion.
