Extraño el tocadiscos que cabía en el bolsillo de mi uniforme de bachillerato, y cargar con el folio de muchos CDs "quemados" en casa a los que solo les cabía 13 canciones a cada uno (tenía playlist con toda clase de nombres, el CD para bailar, el CD de los musicales, el CD para escribir fanfics, el CD para rolear, el CD para dibujar...) 💿 📘

En este proceso y hablando con una amiga, descubrimos que jamás había escuchado el último op de Sailor Moon (quede en shock porque somos contemporáneas), sumado a eso, también he conocido fans bastante entusiastas de Card Captor Sakura, pero cuando les he preguntado qué otras series de CLAMP les gusta, la respuesta ha sido "qué es CLAMP?"

Shōjo Kakumei Utena: "Rondo-Revolution" (interpretada por Masami Okui) es un tema muy famoso y es hasta un deber tenerla en mi lista de prioridades. Tema muy alabado y bastante icónico para una serie cargada de tanto simbolismo y profundidad; personalmente prefiero la película antes que la adaptación del anime. Imaginate leer la letra de esta canción por primera vez justo cuando inicias la adolescencia.

Shōjo Kakumei Utena: "Rondo-Revolution" (performed by Masami Okui) is a very famous theme and is even a must have on my priority list. Highly praised and quite iconic theme for a series loaded with so much symbolism and depth; I personally prefer the movie over the anime adaptation. Imagine reading the lyrics of this song for the first time just as you enter your teenage years.

Denshin Mamotte Shugogetten: "Saaa!" (interpretado por Surface) era ese tipo de canciones que venían una y otra vez en los CD de las revistas manganime de inicios del 2000. No es necesario que conozcas o veas el anime para enamorarte de este temaso. Aunque toda comedia romántica con semejante estética tan bonita se agradece.

Denshin Mamotte Shugogetten: "Saaa!" (performed by Surface) was the kind of song that came over and over again in manganime magazine CDs in the early 2000s. You don't need to know or watch the anime to fall in love with this song, though any romantic comedy with such a cute aesthetic is appreciated.

07-Ghost: "Aka no Kakera" (interpretado por Yuki Suzuki) es una canción demasiado potente para ser olvidada. Este anime te confunde porque esperas BL, creo que la obra original lo era (novela? manga?) han pasado demasiados años y no lo recuerdo. Pero sí recuerdo que el argumento era interesante y poco predecible, y te encariñabas rápidamente con los protagonistas.

07-Ghost: "Aka no Kakera" (performed by Yuki Suzuki) is a song too powerful to be forgotten. This anime confuses you because you expect BL, I think the original work was (novel? manga?) it's been too many years and I don't remember. But I do remember that the plot was interesting and not very predictable, and you quickly got attached to the main characters.

Antique Bakery: "Life goes on ~side K~" (interpretado por Chemistry) a diferencia de 07 Ghost, SÍ recuerdo que esta basado en un juego BL, aunque la adaptación al anime fue bastante suave. Es ese tipo de serie que puedes ver sin demasiadas ambiciones, simple pero entretenida si quieres algo relajante. Su opening es hasta bailable jajaja.

Antique Bakery: "Life goes on ~side K~" (performed by Chemistry) unlike 07 Ghost, it IS based on a BL game, although the anime adaptation was pretty mild. It's that kind of series you can see without too much ambition, simple but entertaining if you want something relaxing. Its opening is even danceable hahaha.

Patlabor: "Sono mama no Kimi de Ite" (interpretado por Nittoh Yuko) creo que es la joya de esta búsqueda porque tiene toda esa vibra de los "animes de antes", ¡que por cierto no sabía que en 2016 le hicieron un corto animado llamado "Patlabor Reboot" (prometo buscarla).

Patlabor: "Sono mama no Kimi de Ite" (performed by Nittoh Yuko) I think is the gem of this quest because it has that whole "anime of yesteryear" vibe, which by the way I didn't know that in 2016 they made an animated short for it called "Patlabor Reboot" (I promise to look for it).

Sailor Moon Stars: "Sailor Star Song" (interpretada por Kae Hanazawa) toma por sorpresa a algunas personas que solo vieron la serie con el respectivo doblaje Latino. Tambien se le conoce cariñosamente a la canción como "Makenai", y se dice que Naoko quiso un nuevo tema para cerrar la serie en su última temporada, porque supuestamente el opening que todos conocemos de "Moonlight Densetsu" se parece demasiado a una cancion ya existente en ese tiempo y hubo referencias a eso varias veces. Bueno, esta cancion tiene notas bastante mas poderosas que el primer tema, mucho más heroica.

Sailor Moon Stars: "Sailor Star Song" (performed by Kae Hanazawa) takes some people who only watched the series with the respective Latin dub by surprise. The song is also affectionately known as "Makenai", and it is said that Naoko wanted a new theme to close the series in its last season, because supposedly the opening we all know from "Moonlight Densetsu" is too similar to a song already existing at that time and there were references to it several times. Well, this song has much more powerful notes than the first theme, much more heroic.

Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: "Just Communication" (interpretado por Minami Takayama) es casi tan himno como lo puede ser el OP de Evangelion. Pero en esta latitud he conocido muy pocos fanáticos de franquicia de Gundam, y tomando en cuenta que los canales nacionales y de cable que llegan a Venezuela ya no emiten series Mecha o Meca, la menciono por si acaso.

Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: "Just Communication" (performed by Minami Takayama) is almost as anthemic as Evangelion's OP can be. But in this latitude I have met very few fans of the Gundam franchise, and taking into account that the national and cable channels that reach Venezuela no longer broadcast Mecha or Meca series, I mention it just in case.

Senkaiden Hōshin Engi: "Will" (interpretado por Yonekura Chihiro) es un recuerdo muy lejano pero también muy bonito de la época de Locomotion. Es esa clase de cancion que puede cambiarte el animo en pocos segundos. Es de mis favoritas.

DNA²: "Blurry Eyes" (interpretado por L'Arc_enCiel), ¿que puedo decir?, todo lo que venga de esta banda es bueno, demasiado bueno, pero igual a como sucede con el tema de Gundam, hace mucho tiempo que no leo o escucho a alguien hablar de L'Arc_enCiel, y si no conoces la banda, ésta cancion es una muestra bastante agradable para empezar, y espero despierte tu interés.

DNA²: "Blurry Eyes" (performed by L'Arc_enCiel), what can I say, anything from this band is good, too good, but just like with the Gundam theme, it's been a long time since I've read or heard someone talk about L'Arc_enCiel, and if you don't know the band, this song is a nice enough sample to start with, and I hope it piques your interest.

Akihabara Dennō Gumi: "Birth" (interpretada por Masami Okui) AJAJAJA ES CORRECTO, ESTE NO ES UN OPENING, es un ending; al final de esta nota me ataco el irresistible impulso de compartir semejante joya sí o sí. El OP de esta serie es espectacular y escandaloso, tiene todo lo que esperas de esa época, pero pocos recuerdan esta canción y quiero traerla al presente. Sueño con que hagan un remakede la serie.

Akihabara Dennō Gumi: "Birth" (performed by Masami Okui) AHAHAHAHAHA IS RIGHT, THIS IS NOT AN OPENING, it's an ending; at the end of this note I was attacked by the irresistible impulse to share such a gem yes or yes. The OP of this series is spectacular and outrageous, it has everything you expect from that era, but few remember this song and I want to bring it to the present. I dream of them doing a remake of the series.
