Hey guys. This is my first time posting here though I feel like I know everybody already, cause otaku kinda share a like mind.
This is kind of a review but more of a 'what if'.
C'mon! Just tell me you didn't want one of the greatest horror detective anime of all time to end differently. Yes! Of course its Death Note.
I swear my brain was scrambled at some point watching this masterpiece. It was so back and forth that you wouldn't even realize that it was..
For those who haven't watched it, it's an anime that show a real turn of events and detective competition between two masterminds who seek peace, but differently.
Now let's make things interesting. Hear me out....what if L had picked a death note?
You can't lie, its something everyone wanted at some point so he could figure out who Kira was.
I will demonstrate some possible scenarios right below:
1.
L uncovers the existence of the Death Note early in his investigation and decides to keep it for himself. Instead of capturing Kira, he uses the notebook to eliminate corrupt officials and potential threats, creating a world he believes is "pure." True or not?
Its obvious L is way smarter than Light and would use it sparingly. The attention can't be drawn to him cause he'd cover his tracks like a green snake in grass.
2.
It would be a matter of time before L figures Light is Kira but sees him as a pawn rather than a rival. Instead of exposing Light, L sets up scenarios where Light is forced to act as Kira under his control.
Fake evidence is planted by L to keep the Task Force suspicious of Light, making Light unable to escape the accusations.
L manipulates Light into taking out L’s personal enemies under the guise of “justice.”
3.
L faking his death would be diabolical. He allows Near to continue the investigation, knowing it will force Light to make mistakes. Meanwhile, L secretly controls the situation from the shadows.
If this ever happened, I'm sure L would just do it to keep L and Near at each others wits.
4.
There was a point where Light was planning on working with L. So if L had the Death Note he'd be up for it. L proposes a truce with Light, revealing his own desire for godhood. Together, they reshape the world, combining their intellects.
The world becomes a dystopia ruled by two “gods.”
Light eventually tries to betray L, leading to a final confrontation(Typical Light Yagami).
5.
Finally, L manipulates Ryuk into giving him Light’s Death Note. He uses it to erase any loose ends, including the Task Force, leaving no one alive to oppose him.
The series ends with L standing alone as the sole wielder of the Death Note.
Ryuk, bored of L’s calculated control, writes L’s name in the notebook, ending his reign.
THE END?
I appreciate every otaku out there. Thank you for reading.
