I finished the piece with trying to imagine an evil queen to the fairy tale in my head fiction. It still needs more but the objective was really just practicing how to work with layers, coloring and blending modes.
The practice improved my work flow but I doubt there's anything visible on the end piece. I'm just compiling these characters and maybe revisit them again in the future to redraw.

WORKING LORE:
The season of the Red Moon came as prophesized. A season that when the nights are longer and the dark beasts in it grow stronger.
Red, the Slayer, came back into the cursed woods to cross off an unfinished business on her bucket list. To vanquish the evil the plague the cursed lands while at her peak.
Guided by a revelation from the witch, the former fairy godmother who sank into corruption pointed the way. If the queen were to fall, the witch would be the new ruler of the woods.
But this tale needs more twist. If there was anyone that could rival Red's wish to slay the queen, it was the People of the Fallen Winter Snow.
