Lately I've been paying a lot more attention to my drawing style, mostly because I want to change a lot of things about it, even though I think things a bit negative about my style, I always get the thought that clearly yes it is much better than how my style was before, so today I will share with you a little analysis and demonstration to see the changes that have been in my drawing style after the years. Últimamente he estado prestando mucha más atención a mi estilo de dibujo, más que nada porque quiero cambiar muchas cosas de él, aunque pienso cosas un poco negativas de mi estilo, siempre me sale el pensamiento de que claramente sí es mucho mejor que cómo era mi estilo antes, así que hoy les compartiré un pequeño análisis y demostración para que vean los cambios que ha habido en mi estilo de dibujo después de los años. Let's go back in time a bit. I started drawing in digital in the middle of 2022, it really surprises me how much time has passed without realizing it, time really flies 🎐 I started to be interested in digital drawing because I had a friend who did illustrations mostly of a game called Mystic Messenger. She draws amazing really. I started getting stuff on Pinterest related to digital coloring, and I also really liked watching videos related to this, one artist I really learned a lot from is Flasho.
Besides this, I've also always really liked anime and manga, so I had the idea to make my own manga. This gave me a lot of motivation and I bought a graphic tablet which is the one I use today. My first drawings were very influenced by what I saw in my friend's style or other artists, I didn't have my own style as such, but I knew that there was a lot of talk about digital drawing without Lineart, so it was the first thing I tried ⋆.˚ ᡣ𐭩 .𖥔˚.
Here I share with you some of the first drawings I made when I got my tablet, I used Clip Studio software, since most people I saw on YouTube loved this program. I still love the drawing of the eye, and the red-haired character also looks good, although in my opinion I still lacked a lot of anatomy (still) and in knowing how to choose colors that were really striking ˖°𓇼🌊⋆🐚

Empecé a dibujar en digital a mediados de 2022, realmente me sorprende cuanto tiempo ha pasado sin darme cuenta, el tiempo realmente vuela 🎐 Empecé a interesarme por el dibujo digital porque tenía una amiga que hacía ilustraciones sobre todo de un juego llamado Mystic Messenger. Dibuja increíble de verdad. Empecé a conseguir cosas en Pinterest relacionadas con el coloreado digital, y también me gustaba mucho ver videos relacionados con esto, una artista de la que realmente aprendí mucho es Flasho.
Además de esto, siempre me ha gustado mucho el anime y el manga, así que tuve la idea de hacer mi propio manga. Esto me motivó mucho y me compré una tableta gráfica, que es la que utilizo hoy en día. Mis primeros dibujos estaban muy influenciados por lo que veía en el estilo de mi amiga o de otros artistas, no tenía un estilo propio como tal, pero sabía que se hablaba mucho del dibujo digital sin Lineart, así que fue lo primero que probé ⋆˚ ᡣ𐭩 .𖥔˚.
Aquí les comparto algunos de los primeros dibujos que hice cuando tuve mi tableta, utilicé el programa Clip Studio, ya que a la mayoría de las personas que vi en Youtube les encantaba este programa. Me sigue encantando el dibujo del ojo, y el personaje pelirrojo también se ve bien, aunque en mi opinión aún me faltaba mucha anatomía (todavía) y en saber elegir colores que fueran realmente llamativos ˖°𓇼🌊⋆🐚
Actually the first drawing I did digitally with my tablet, were some Harry Potter doodles, I loved how it turned out but I lost that 😭.
I kept trying more styles. I was really into the tablet, I wanted to do so many things. This drawing is also one of my first. Here we can see SUCH OBVIOUS differences from my current drawing. Forgive me for the hate I'm going to throw at me, but 😭 Obviously, this is how we all started, but it's funny. As for the drawing itself, at first glance it's "okay," but it's noticeable that the proportions of the face are quite forced, as well as the positioning of facial elements, like the eyes, nose, and mouth. It lacks a lot of symmetry. I also feel like the drawing of the hand is the wrong size. This drawing always gave me the feeling that it was too stiff LOL.
As for the coloring style, I liked how the hair texture turned out FOR THE FIRST DRAWING, since I'm currently doing it in a very different way. It has more texture and movement. The rest is relatively good, although I think I made the Lineart excessively thick >ᴗ< ⋆.˚🦋༘⋆
De hecho, el primer dibujo que hice digitalmente con mi tableta fueron unos garabatos de Harry Potter. Me encantó cómo quedaron, pero lo perdí 😭.
Seguí probando más estilos. Me encantaba la tableta; quería hacer muchísimas cosas. Este dibujo también es uno de mis primeros. Aquí podemos ver diferencias TAN OBVIAS con respecto a mi dibujo actual. Perdónenme por el odio que me voy a lanzar, pero 😭 Obviamente, así es como empezamos todos, pero es gracioso. En cuanto al dibujo en sí, a primera vista está bien, pero se nota que las proporciones de la cara están bastante forzadas, así como la posición de los elementos faciales, como los ojos, la nariz y la boca. Le falta mucha simetría. También siento que el dibujo de la mano tiene un tamaño incorrecto. Este dibujo siempre me dio la sensación de que era demasiado rígido, jaja.
En cuanto al estilo de coloreado, me gustó cómo quedó la textura del cabello PARA EL PRIMER DIBUJO, ya que ahora lo estoy haciendo de una manera muy diferente. Tiene más textura y movimiento. El resto está bastante bien, aunque creo que hice el Lineart demasiado grueso >ᴗ< ⋆.˚🦋༘⋆
Then I created an Instagram account to upload the drawings I made. I always wanted to create one when I saw the artists who inspired me the most create incredible things and publish them, so I was inspired too ♡.
My first Instagram post was this drawing of Gojo Satoru. I feel like this drawing was simply a miracle. Why? Because the rest of the drawings I made afterward didn't turn out as well as that one, haha. To this day, I still absolutely love this fanart. I feel like I helped myself a lot with the reference I chose. Plus, you can already see that I started making the lineart more refined and better incorporating the elements of the face and anatomy ˚.🎀༘⋆

Mi primera publicación en Instagram fue este dibujo de Gojo Satoru. Siento que este dibujo fue simplemente un milagro. ¿Por qué? Porque los demás dibujos que hice después no quedaron tan bien como ese, jaja. A día de hoy, sigo adorando este fanart. Siento que me ayudé mucho con la referencia que elegí. However, I was still lacking quite a bit haha. I kept doing anime fanart, mostly ♡ Here you can see with this fanart of Mikey (which my brother still really likes but I honestly hate haha) that it's really lacking in different ways. You can see it as a good and simple drawing at first glance, but it's very far from what I look for with my drawing style.
In terms of anatomy and proportion, I think it's relatively good, except for the hands, which I find a little odd. As for coloring, I didn't know how to place the shadows well, nor did I know how to choose the colors for shading; I just chose one darker than the base. The hair had no texture, it was flat LOL, and it also leaves a lot to be desired in terms of clothing and other elements ⋆.˚✮🎧✮˚.⋆
Sin embargo, todavía me faltaba bastante, jaja. Seguí haciendo fanarts de anime, sobre todo ♡ Aquí pueden ver con este fanart de Mikey (que a mi hermano todavía le encanta, pero yo, sinceramente, lo odio, jaja) que le faltan muchas cosas. A primera vista, puede parecer un dibujo bueno y simple, pero dista mucho de lo que busco con mi estilo de dibujo.
En cuanto a anatomía y proporción, creo que está bastante bien, excepto por las manos, que me parecen un poco raras. En cuanto al coloreado, no supe colocar bien las sombras ni elegir los colores para el sombreado; simplemente elegí uno más oscuro que la base. El pelo no tenía textura, era plano, jaja, y también deja mucho que desear en cuanto a la ropa y otros elementos. ⋆.˚✮🎧✮˚.⋆
Taking that information into account, I started to not be afraid to add more vibrant colors to my drawings, something that is really noticeable in this one 🌤️🐸 I sincerely adore this Inumaki fanart with all my heart, despite being very old. We're already at the end of 2023 with this drawing (I uploaded very infrequently to the Instagram account and didn't have much time to draw because of school) ♡.
With this drawing, the changes are really a little more noticeable. In terms of drawing, I feel it's incredible. The anatomy is good, but what improved the most is undoubtedly the coloring. I started choosing warmer, more vibrant tones and adding key elements, like the sparkles in the eyes, lips, and those little things that make a difference. I loved the hat and the seams ⋆｡‧˚ʚ🍒ɞ˚‧｡⋆
Teniendo en cuenta esa información, empecé a perder el miedo a añadir colores más vibrantes a mis dibujos, algo que se nota mucho en este 🌤️🐸 Adoro sinceramente este fanart de Inumaki con todo mi corazón, a pesar de ser muy viejo. Ya estamos a finales de 2023 con este dibujo (subía muy pocas veces a la cuenta de Instagram y no tenía mucho tiempo para dibujar porel colegio) ♡.
Con este dibujo, los cambios son un poco más notorios. En cuanto al dibujo, me parece increíble. La anatomía es buena, pero lo que más ha mejorado es, sin duda, el coloreado. Empecé a elegir tonos más cálidos y vibrantes, y a añadir elementos clave, como los brillos en los ojos, los labios y esos pequeños detalles que marcan la diferencia. For 2024, I had improved quite a bit when it came to coloring. My color choices improved as I began to understand color theory a little better (although it still gives me trouble sometimes haha), and I wasn't afraid to add strong, vibrant colors anymore. Although my style still seemed a bit rigid, I wanted it to be more liberal ♡.
I also realized that all my drawings had a white background, so I decided to try some drawings with a background. To do so, I made this beautiful illustration of the famous Ghibli film, Howl's Moving Castle. I think it's a beautiful illustration at first glance, and I'm surprised I did it with the level I had. Even so, I made it, and I can see that many things are missing. There should be more light reflection, better shadow management, and for the colors to complement each other better ‧₊˚ ☁️⋅♡🪐༘⋆
Para 2024, había mejorado bastante en cuanto a coloreado. Mis elecciones de color mejoraron a medida que empecé a entender un poco mejor la teoría del color (aunque todavía me da problemas a veces, jaja), y ya no tenía miedo de añadir colores fuertes y vibrantes. Aunque mi estilo todavía parecía un poco rígido, quería que fuera más liberal ♡.
También me di cuenta de que todos mis dibujos tenían fondo blanco, así que decidí probar algunos dibujos con fondo. Para ello, hice esta preciosa ilustración de la famosa película de Ghibli, El castillo ambulante. A primera vista, me parece una ilustración preciosa, y me sorprende haberla hecho con el nivel que tenía. Aun así, la hice, y veo que faltan muchas cosas. Debería haber más reflejo de luz, mejor gestión de las sombras y que los colores se complementaran mejor. ‧₊˚ ☁️⋅♡🪐༘⋆
One thing that also helped me improve my style significantly was the brushes. Starting with this drawing, I feel like it's a HUGE turning point where my drawings changed completely in an indescribable way. You may not notice, but this point was truly huge for me ❤️🩹.
With this fan art of Langa from SK8 the Infinity, I wanted to try different brushes, another coloring style, and I absolutely loved it. I think the colors are obvious, with how rich and varied the selection is, both in base colors and shades. The drawing looks more dynamic, with much more movement and life. I was so happy with this result because the colors were simply beautiful to me. Although, the hair still looks a little textureless, or the shadows on the clothes look somewhat rigid 𓂃˖˳·˖ ִֶָ ⋆🌷͙⋆ ִֶָ˖·˳˖𓂃 ִֶ
Algo que también me ayudó a mejorar mi estilo significativamente fueron los pinceles. Empezando con este dibujo, siento que fue un punto de inflexión ENORME, donde mis dibujos cambiaron por completo de una manera indescriptible. Puede que no lo notes, pero este punto fue realmente enorme para mí ❤️🩹.
Con este fan art de Langa de SK8 the Infinity, quise probar diferentes pinceles, otro estilo de coloreado, y me encantó. Creo que los colores son evidentes, con lo rica y variada que es la selección, tanto en colores base como en sombras. El dibujo se ve más dinámico, con mucho más movimiento y vida. Estaba muy contenta con este resultado porque los colores me parecieron simplemente hermosos. Sin embargo, el cabello todavía se ve un poco sin textura, o las sombras en la ropa se ven algo rígidas.
In mid-2024, I noticed a bit more improvement in my drawings, especially in terms of coloring, but also in that I was starting to draw them more quickly and didn't have too many complications. In this drawing, you can see the improvement in something I was missing, which was the use of lighting. This is very important; you can see strong lights in the characters and also see the warm reflection of this same light ♡.
What was missing (in my opinion) was more textures, like in the hair or also in better shading of the clothes, which I'm still intensively practicing to this day haha 🧸ྀི
A mediados de 2024, noté una ligera mejora en mis dibujos, sobre todo en cuanto al coloreado, pero también en que empecé a dibujarlos más rápido y sin demasiadas complicaciones. En este dibujo, se puede apreciar la mejora en algo que me faltaba: el uso de la iluminación. Esto es muy importante; se aprecian luces intensas en los personajes y también el cálido reflejo de esa misma luz ♡.
Lo que faltaba (en mi opinión) eran más texturas, como en el pelo o un mejor sombreado de la ropa, algo que sigo practicando intensamente hasta el día de hoy, jaja 🧸ྀི
Thanks to this thought, I looked for other ways to change my drawing style, and this marked the beginning of a period where I created works I truly adored. 🌤️ I changed the brush I used for my lineart, which I really liked. It left me with a very noticeable lineart, but not too thick, and its strokes were very liberal (I still use it today).
What I liked most about these new works was that I started to color my hair better. I stopped making it so flat. It's starting to show that the hair has more variety in colors, highlights, and textures, like in Mafuyu's hair, where the color variety is greater, or in Hanako's, where the new texture is really noticeable. I also paid attention to the coloring of the clothes, and I loved it this time. The clothes look much better shaded and detailed, with more appropriate highlights and tones. I also realized how much I improved at drawing the hands, something that gives more than one of us a headache, haha. In general, the drawings are no longer so flat, since there is more variety of colors and spots here and there that make the difference 🪶📜🌕ִֶָ☾♡
Gracias a esta idea, busqué otras maneras de cambiar mi estilo de dibujo, y esto marcó el comienzo de una época en la que creé obras que realmente adoraba. 🌤️ Cambié el pincel que usaba para mi delineado, que me gustó mucho. Me dejó un delineado muy visible, pero no demasiado grueso, y sus trazos eran muy liberales (aún lo uso).
Lo que más me gustó de estos nuevos trabajos fue que empecé a colorear mejor mi pelo. Dejé de hacerlo tan plano. Se empieza a notar que el pelo tiene más variedad de colores, reflejos y texturas, como en el de Mafuyu, donde la variedad de colores es mayor, o en el de Hanako, donde la nueva textura es realmente notable. También presté atención al coloreado de la ropa, y esta vez me encantó. La ropa se ve mucho mejor sombreada y detallada, con reflejos y tonos más apropiados. También me di cuenta de cuánto he mejorado dibujando las manos, algo que a más de uno nos da dolor de cabeza, jaja. En general los dibujos ya no son tan planos, ya que hay más variedad de colores y manchas aquí y allá que marcan la diferencia 🪶📜🌕ִֶָ☾♡
From here on out, it's not a far-fetched change from the current one. Since we're already starting in 2025, it's not like I'm going to improve with something massive in less than half a year haha. However, there are small and noticeable changes. We have a better choice of colors, also a good execution of BACKGROUNDS AND LIGHTS in the drawings, something that I really like how it can be seen in the Fanart of Uraraka and Deku, where the lights reflect very well on the characters, and the characters really show that they are really there, I mean they combine very well with the background. Also noticeable in the drawing of Yamada and Akane, where there is more light reflection. The drawings seemed less flat, having something to tell, a vibe to transmit🎀 💌💓
De ahora en adelante, no es un cambio descabellado con respecto al actual. Como ya empezamos en 2025, no es que vaya a mejorar con algo enorme en menos de medio año, jaja. Sin embargo, hay cambios pequeños y notables. Tenemos una mejor elección de colores, también una buena ejecución de FONDOS Y LUCES en los dibujos, algo que me gusta mucho como se puede ver en el fanart de Uraraka y Deku, donde las luces se reflejan muy bien en los personajes, y los personajes realmente demuestran que están ahí; es decir, combinan muy bien con el fondo. También se nota en el dibujo de Yamada y Akane, donde hay más reflejo de luz. Los dibujos parecían menos planos, con algo que contar, una vibra que transmitir🎀 💌💓

Also, something I really liked and realized I've improved a lot is the poses. The drawings look less rigid, there are more dynamic poses, and there's variety, without everything looking so rigid. I loved the coloring with much more vibrant colors, and I also started to implement some little details that made my style more distinctive, like little hearts here and there and other details ♡.
In addition, I also started adding a background to almost all of my drawings (which is something I honestly don't like anymore LOL, and I want to change my feed, since it looks very overloaded. I'll start doing white backgrounds with pastel colors and some backgrounds here and there, not all backgrounds, it looks so cluttered like that in my opinion). However, individually, each drawing with its background looks really nice. The improvement I've made in choosing colors has helped me improve the backgrounds of my drawings as well! ˖ ꒰ 🍮 ꒱ 彡 ๋࣭ ࣪ ˖✩
Además, algo que me gustó mucho y que he mejorado mucho son las poses. Los dibujos se ven menos rígidos, hay poses más dinámicas y hay variedad, sin que todo parezca tan rígido. Me encantó el coloreado con colores mucho más vibrantes, y también empecé a implementar pequeños detalles que le dieron un estilo más distintivo, como corazoncitos aquí y allá y otros detalles ♡.
Igualmente, también empecé a añadir un fondo a casi todos mis dibujos (algo que, sinceramente, ya no me gusta, jaja, y quiero cambiar mi feed, ya que se ve muy recargado. Empezaré a hacer fondos blancos con colores pastel y algunos fondos aquí y allá, no todos los fondos, porque se ve muy recargado). Sin embargo, individualmente, cada dibujo con su fondo se ve muy bien. ¡La mejora en la elección de colores también me ha ayudado a mejorar los fondos de mis dibujos! ˖ ꒰ 🍮 ꒱ 彡 ๋࣭ ࣪ ˖✩
Another thing I've improved a lot is not being afraid to add small details that make a difference. I've also gotten better at handling lighting and the reflection of the environment in my drawings, something you can see in these drawings, which are some of the most recent I've done and definitely some of my favorites. — 𝜗𝜚 . * • ☀️♡.
Despite everything I've changed, I want to keep trying new things. I want to change my style again. You might think I'm crazy, but I feel like you understand that artists will never be satisfied with their own style, haha. So, keeping this in mind, from now on I'll look for something more harmonious for my feed, alternating backgrounds. There are some things I want to keep from my current style, and there are other things I want to recover from my old style. So these processes we go through are always good; they build us up and help us search for something more complete, closer to what we want. I've improved a lot, yes, I'm not an expert, and I want to keep improving, but by making this post and seeing how much I've improved in things that today seem horrible to me, it makes me feel less hard on myself ❤️🩹.

A pesar de todo lo que he cambiado, quiero seguir probando cosas nuevas. Quiero volver a cambiar mi estilo. Puede que pienses que estoy loca, pero creo que entiendes que los artistas nunca estarán satisfechos con su propio estilo, jaja. Así que, teniendo esto en cuenta, de ahora en adelante buscaré algo más armonioso para mi feed, alternando fondos. Hay algunas cosas que quiero conservar de mi estilo actual y otras que quiero recuperar de mi antiguo estilo. Así que estos procesos que seguimos siempre son buenos; nos fortalecen y nos ayudan a buscar algo más completo, más cercano a lo que queremos. He mejorado mucho, si, no soy una experta, y quiero seguir mejorando, pero al hacer este post y ver lo mucho que he mejorado en cosas que hoy me parecen horribles, me hace sentir menos dura conmigo misma ❤️🩹.
