Queen of Crows | Splinterlands art contest

Hola comunidad! Hoy comienza una nueva semana en este concurso de @splinterlands y quise dibujar a un personaje que me gusto bastante “Queen of Crows” la verdad que esta carta es hermosa, aunque me pareció una tarea bastante difícil me obsesione con hacer este dibujo, a veces siento que mi estilo no encaja mucho con la fantasía y me gustaría lograr eso, realmente me encantaría poder adaptarme a un estilo mas parecido a este y hoy me siento muy contenta porque siento que logre dar un paso bastante grande. Algunos de mis amigos me ayudaron con ideas que podía recrear y esta vez use de referencia una foto que me tome a mi misma para realizar la pose de mi personaje, nunca había hecho esto y fue bastante divertido, espero que les guste tanto como me gusto a mi.

Hello community! Today begins a new week in this @splinterlands contest and I wanted to draw a character that I quite liked "Queen of Crows" the truth is that this card is beautiful, although it seemed like a very difficult job I became obsessed with doing this drawing, sometimes I feel that my style does not fit much with fantasy and I would like to achieve that, I would really love to be able to adapt to a style more similar to this and today I feel very happy because I feel that I have managed to take a fairly big step.
Some of my friends helped me with ideas that I could recreate and this time I used a photo that I took of myself as a reference to make the pose of my character, I had never done this and it was quite fun, I hope you like.

Proceso/Process

Utilizando mi fotografía como referencia comencé a pintar el boceto, este boceto fue bastante difícil porque quería agregar varios elementos, debía dibujar su ropa, el libro flotando, algunas rayas de magia saliendo de este y varios cuervos, pase el boceto a limpio para trabajar un poco mejor sin confusiones, para la piel elegí una paleta de colores morada, colocando tonos oscuros y claros.

Using my photograph as a reference I began to paint the sketch, this sketch was quite difficult because I wanted to add several elements, I had to draw her clothes, the floating book, some magic streaks coming out of it and several crows, I cleaned the sketch to work on a little better without confusion, for the skin I chose a purple color palette, placing dark and light tones.

Después de un rato pintando la piel me di cuenta que se veía demasiado morada y se iba a confundir un poco con el vestuario y también el fondo que pensaba hacer, así que elegí cambiar ligeramente el tono de su piel aplicando un ajuste de color y dando un tono un poco amarillo dando como resultado un morado un poco más tenue y cálido, continue pintando su ropa y la verdad que esta parte me encanto, es muy bonito su vestido y justo me di cuenta que en su corsé también tiene un cuervo formado, ese detalle me encanto y lo realice cambiando el orden de los colores, luego empecé a pintar el libro usando tonos marrones, dorado y morado colocando estos colores base para en una nueva capa darle la forma a cada hoja del libro, lo mismo hice con su sobrero y cabello agregando detalles en nuevas capas.

After painting the skin for a while I realized that she looked too purple and it was going to confuse a bit with the costume and also the background that I was thinking of doing, so I chose to slightly change the tone of her skin by applying a color adjustment and giving a slightly yellow tone resulting in a slightly softer and warmer purple, I continued painting her clothes and the truth is that I loved this part, her dress is very beautiful and I just realized that her corset also has a crow formed, I loved that detail and I did it by changing the order of the colors, then I began to paint the book using brown, gold and purple tones, placing these base colors and then in a new layer give the shape to each page of the book, I did the same with her hat and hair adding details in new layers.

Aplique varios detalles en cada parte del dibujo para luego ir dibujando el fondo, usando tonos morados y azules creando una especie de espiral que me encanto, pinte algunos cuervos saliendo del libro y pintándolos de una manera rustica para que dar un efecto como si los cuervos se desaparecieran en sus colas y acompañados de una linda luz rosa fuerte detrás, llego el momento de pintar algunas curvas mágicas saliendo del libro para ello use una capa con efecto de screen y pinte usando un tono morado claro.

Apply alot details in each part of the drawing and then draw the background, using purple and blue tones creating a kind of spiral that I loved, paint some crows coming out of the book and painting them in a rustic way to give an effect as if the crows disappear into their tails and accompanied by a nice bright pink light behind, it's time to paint some magical curves coming out of the book. To do this, use a screen effect layer and paint using a light purple tone.

Me pareció una idea genial agregar algunas plumas alrededor de todo el dibujo y así lo hice, para ello utilice una brocha con textura de plumas y las puse por todas las partes del dibujo variando entre tamaños y ángulos, finalmente aplique un ajuste de color para crear un poco mas de intensidad y ya estaba listo mi dibujo.

I thought it was a great idea to add some feathers around the whole drawing and so I did it, for this I used a feather texture brush and I put them all over the drawing varying between sizes and angles, finally I applied a color adjustment to create a little more intensity and my drawing was ready.
