Splinterlands art contest | Enchanted Pixie

Hola hola amigos. Hoy para mi entrada del concurso de @Splinterlands me he atrevido a usar de referencia una carta a la cual le tenia algo de pavor, porque a pesar de que me parece bonita, algo que me chocaba mucho era la paleta de colores que tiene. Esta vez elegí a Enchanted Pixie con todo los nervios del mundo, pensé como podría trabajar con tantos colores que al menos a mi vista no me dan armonía, entonces se me ocurrió hacer un retrato con colores similares pero más desaturados, además de un acabado mas rustico para hacerlo lucir como una pintura de verdad, trazos muy desiguales y un fondo claro donde aplique algunos efectos de acuarela, se me hizo un poco mas sencillo trabajarla de esta manera, aunque no puedo negar que fue muy difícil, algo que cambie de la imagen original fue un poco el vestuario, asi como también los ojos, pensé que se vería un poco mas armoniosa con ojos amarillos sin tener negro alrededor, el cabello lo hice un rosa mas oscuro porque siento que asi se ve mejor, aunque lo intente con un rosa mas fuerte y no me gustó, espero que les guste.

Today for my @Splinterlands contest entry I dared to use as reference a card that I was a bit afraid of, because even though I think it's beautiful, something that shocked me a lot was the color palette it has.
This time I chose Enchanted Pixie with all the nerves in the world, I thought how I could work with so many colors that at least to my eyes do not give me harmony, then I thought of making a portrait with similar colors but more desaturated, plus a more rustic finish to make it look like a real painting, very uneven strokes and a light background where I apply some watercolor effects, I made it a little easier to work it this way, although I can not deny that it was very difficult, something I changed from the original image was a little the costume, as well as the eyes, I thought it would look a little more harmonious with yellow eyes without having black around, the hair I did a darker pink because I feel it looks better, although I tried with a stronger pink and I did not like, I hope you like it.

Proceso/Process

Esta vez tenía ganas de hacer un retrato, asi que realice el boceto y elegí los tonos de la piel, los cuales eran tonalidades bastante pálidas, en una nueva capa añadí mas colores para terminar de formas los rasgos del rostro y luego continuar mezclando estos colores entre sí para darle una mejor textura a la piel, luego comencé a pintar el cabello con un rosa oscuro y agregue algunas iluminaciones con rosa claro, para los ojos coloque un tono miel bastante lindo.

This time I wanted to make a portrait, so I made the sketch and chose the skin tones, which were quite pale shades, in a new layer I added more colors to finish the facial features and then continue mixing these colors together to give a better texture to the skin, then I started to paint the hair with a dark pink and added some light pink highlights, for the eyes I put a pretty nice honey tone.

Después de terminar con el rostro y el cabello, comencé a pintar la ropa, para la cual hice varias hojas cubriendo el pecho y empecé a pintar con verdes bastante desaturados, para las alas comencé a pintar con amarillo y luego azul, haciendo una mezcla entre ambos colores en algunas partes y pintando bastante rustico para dejarle textura a las alas, normalmente uso fondos oscuros, pero esta vez quería luz y claridad, asi que coloque de fondo un tono crema casi blanco y comencé a pintar algunos arboles con textura de acuarela alrededor, quería mas textura en los bordes de la silueta asi que comencé a sustraer los colores de cada borde de la piel y a dar algunos brochazos aleatorios para fundir un poco el fondo con el primer plano, finalmente aplique luces en algunas zonas de la piel y edite la imagen dándole un poco mas de contraste.

After finishing with the face and hair, I started to paint the clothes, for which I made several leaves covering the chest and started painting with quite desaturated greens, for the wings I started painting with yellow and then blue, making a mix between both colors in some parts and painting quite rustic to leave texture to the wings, normally I use dark backgrounds, but this time I wanted light and clarity, so I placed as background a cream tone almost white and started painting some trees with watercolor texture around, I wanted more texture on the edges of the silhouette so I started to subtract the colors of each edge of the skin and give some random brush strokes to blend a little the background with the foreground, finally I applied lights in some areas of the skin and edited the image giving it a little more contrast.
