Hey there, everyone. How's it going for you all? I hope it's been alright.
It was another Friday, and it was about time for my Splinterlands Art Contest entry submission. This week, we have Pyromaniac as the subject for drawing, and man, he was such a pleasure to work on.
Drawing his hair with the parts illuminated by the fire and other parts with a shadow cast on was the most pleasant part of this piece. I'd call it an upgrade of the technique I've been using and I think I'd apply the same logic with lighting in future works, but it's an improvement nonetheless, so it's something that I take with me from this drawing.
Also, working on his calm expression as opposed to the unhinged vibe he gives in the original art while trying to make it similar to the original art was another part of working on this piece that I found enjoyable.
