Hello my dear all friends. How are you today? Is everything okay? Today was a nice day for me and I’m doing very great because we, me and my mom went to visit my sister and my little niece. She is recently started making drawings and I am super happy and excited about it. I don’t know it is because she likes watching me making art or it is in her genes. Maybe both of them. Anyway, today we had an art class together and taught her to how to draw and the basic methods of art. You know, it was fun and I liked it very much. Maybe I should start opening art class and start teaching one day. I never thought this feeling this good.
Sharing your experiences and knowledge and seeing how others use it and become better and better. You know that when my niece and I are together , I always ask her to select a card for me and for this week she asked me if there is any mermaid card, I didn’t need to look for it because there was a card that I knew and had drawn it before last months and years ago. The card that I am inspired from is named merdaali guardian. A very beautiful mermaid.
I am very excited to share with you this illustration because I have tried different techniques to achieve a different and yet beautiful result. The reason I am very excited about it is that from the moment I removed the golden frame I can see that I can draw the characters with more amazing gestures. It is as if the frames couldn’t let me be creative enough. For the gesture of our beautiful merdaali guardian I hade different ideas in my mind and couldn’t choose which one I should go with but finally I made up my mind and this is the one I chose as you see. I chose a gesture that her hands can be seen.
To paint her body, I painted with pink and blue and I had to blend them very carefully because these colors were not go together. At first I wanted to color them all with blue but then I changed my mind and wanted to paint her skin like the real merdaali. When I colored her skin, I colored the golden parts and used the brightest colors because I wanted her to shine ! After that, with my favorite brush that I recently found worked on her hair. On her left hand, I drew bracelet and I amazed that it turnd out to be this beautiful.
Her skin was too dark and I needed to make some parts of it to be brighter or shiny. On her shoulder and parts of her chest brighter. I liked it very much that I tried it around her eyes as eye shadow. It made her eyes be more attractive and beautiful. I think I can’t let go of painting frames around the character in my paintings because I always find a new way to draw them too like this broken red frame.
In the following you will see step by step of creation of this art and I wish you enjoy the process 💚 As always, if you are interested in my arts or you are a fan of this Splinterlands game, you can tell me your favorite card and I will draw it in my style. Thanks for reading and writing to me in advance. I really appreciate it. 💚 The card I inspired from: Merdaali guardian
