Hope are you having a good day,
I've always think about Planets where life has ceased to exist. What if there were planets where the cycle of life just ended and we just did not discover them since the Planet is basically dark and without any activity Yes maybe I am weird but I think of such things all the time. Everytime I look up at the night sky it always sparks the curiosity in me. Anyway enjoy the render and a little animation I did around this whole theme.
Only ruins remain of the once bustling Planet, a spaceship scouts the vicinity for any hint of life
The Process
Todays render was a very simple build on Blender. This effect can be achieved using a Voronoi texture on a face.
Apply wireframe modifier on this geometry
Final step is to add good lighting, a camera angle that really highlights the scene and I also added a light animation for the lightning effect.
