The New Year
Happy new year everyone! I gotta admit, there are few things more refreshing to me than the start of a new year. It's a time I take very seriously. It's sacred to me, really. I spend a few days thinking about my intention for the new year. I write a lot of lists, declare my intention for work, health, creative projects, relationships... everything. While some goals are lofty (and some don't quite come to fruition by the next year) it's always rejuvenating for me to get it all out on paper and really examine who I want to be for the next twelve months.
This year's a little odd considering the pandemic and all. Some goals will have to wait until things have settled down. Certainly in no rush, however. I have much to be thankful for in my life in the fact I can work from home, I'm in good health, and I have plenty of ways to thrive creatively online or by myself.
Based on my ability to quarantine, I'd also fare pretty well on a trip to Mars, I'm not going to lie. Until then, I'll focus on my space horror music and dark beats.

This last summer and fall, I worked on a few tracks which eventually became my Farcaster Beta EP project. The project was created in homage to retro deep space horror flicks and sci-fi adventure. Heavy arps, John Carpenter-esque synth, simple & desolate percussion.
It was a lot of fun to put together and I learned a lot. It was a milestone for me to release something like that. There's a million things I'd change about it, however, I also enjoy it for what it is. It was a first step, and is certainly not my last.
I started thinking about what I want to create for 2021. I still enjoy the darksynth sci-fi/space-horror schtick a lot. I think there's a lot of growth for myself within that type of genre and it'll tie into a few things I'm writing this year. Listening to my EP, however, I can't help but feel it could be more.... horrifying, desolate, growly & ghastly.
With that, I present you with the humble beginnings of a cosmic terror of an album I plan to release before 2022. Thanks for reading!
