HELHEIM DEMON💀 Splinterlands Art Contest SPT W-287

Realmente no quería dejar pasar esta semana sin publicar para el concurso de arte de @Splinterlands, así que me dedique en esta semana hacer este dibujo, con el cual entro al concurso representando esta carta de HELHEIM DEMON de la colección de #Rebellion, que es la colección que me mantiene interesada en casi todas las cartas. Y esta es una, me gusto este personaje por los tonos de rojos y es una de las tonalidades que me gusta trabajar, enfocándome en crear una piel con mucha textura que es una de las cosas que me lleva más tiempo porque utilizo varias capas con trazos de iluminación y otras con trazos para crear profundidad y sombras. A veces pienso que dibujar estos tipos de personajes no hace que me preocupe de las imperfecciones ya que son las que realzan a este tipo de seres. Espero les guste esta representación, a la cual quería dedicarle más tiempo para darle más detalles, pero será en otra oportunidad. Disfrútenlo!😊🎨

I really didn't want to let this week go by without publishing for the @Splinterlands art contest, so I dedicated myself this week to making this drawing, with which I enter the contest representing this card from HELHEIM DEMON from the #Rebellion set, which is the set that keeps me interested in almost all the cards. And this is one, I liked this character because of the red tones and it is one of the tones that I like to work with, focusing on creating a skin with a lot of texture, which is one of the things that takes me the most time because I use several layers with strokes. lighting and others with strokes to create depth and shadows. Sometimes I think that drawing these types of characters does not make me worry about imperfections since they are what enhance these types of beings. I hope you like this representation, to which I wanted to dedicate more time to give more details, but it will be another time. Enjoy it!😊🎨

Etapas del Dibujo/Drawing Stages

Comencé con un boceto en limpio, trazando las líneas básicas que definirían la figura. El personaje debía emanar terror y poder. Sus cuernos lo posicione a manera de que se viera con una majestuosidad siniestra, y su rostro que expresara una determinación temible e inquebrantable. En una capa separada, probé diferentes tonos de rojo para la base de color. Quería que la piel del personaje irradiara calor y vida. Los tonos más oscuros los aplique con una brocha dura para crear profundidad, mientras que los más claros iluminaron las zonas destacadas.

I started with a clean sketch, tracing the basic lines that would define the figure. The character had to emanate terror and power. His horns positioned him so that he looked with a sinister majesty, and his face expressed a fearsome and unwavering determination. On a separate layer, I tried different shades of red for the base color. I wanted the character's skin to radiate warmth and life. I applied the darker shades with a stiff brush to create depth, while the lighter shades highlighted the highlights.

Utilicé varias capas para crear texturas y grietas en el rostro y los cuernos. La iluminación que quise desde atrás requería tonos amarillos, que añadí con con brocha dura y método normal de mezcla en otra capa por debajo. Los ojos profundos y brillantes los dúo definiendo en otra capa con método normal. Los colmillos largos y afilados los hice de una manera poco estética para reflejar esa ferocidad inquietante. Y aquí es donde radica el desafío, en la musculatura la cual debía ser imponente, como la de un guerrero ancestral. Cada sombra e iluminación lo realice con el pincel en grosor delgado trabajando en varias capas para poder mezclar sin desordenar lo que ya había trasado. No temí agregar imperfecciones, después de todo, este ser no era un modelo de belleza sino por lo contrario debido a su naturaleza.

I used several layers to create textures and cracks on the face and horns. The lighting I wanted from behind required yellow tones, which I added with a hard brush and normal blending method on another layer below. The deep and bright eyes are defined in another layer with the normal method. I made the long, sharp fangs in an unaesthetic way to reflect that disturbing ferocity. And this is where the challenge lies, in the musculature which had to be imposing, like that of an ancient warrior. I did each shadow and lighting with a thin brush, working in several layers to be able to mix without messing up what I had already done. I was not afraid to add imperfections, after all, this being was not a model of beauty but on the contrary due to the nature of it.

Las alas las desplegue en otra capa con tonos de iluminación utilizando igualmente el método de mezcla normal, delineé parte de el contorno con tonalidades más claras para dar iluminación. En cuanto al cinturón, aunque lo hice con más detalles me fui delineando algunas líneas del boceto sobre una base más oscuras. Luego, más capas para el fondo donde difuminé y añadí texturas de neblina con una brocha nube. Quería que el entorno fuera etéreo, como si el personaje emergiera de otro plano. En una capa final, apliqué brillos y rayos de energía que emanaban de su ser. La luz suave realzó los tonos y profundizó las sombras.

I deployed the wings on another layer with lighting tones, also using the normal mixing method, I outlined part of the contour with lighter tones to provide lighting. As for the belt, although I did it with more details, I outlined some lines of the sketch on a darker base. Then more layers for the background where I blended and added haze textures with a cloud brush. I wanted the environment to be ethereal, as if the character emerged from another plane. In a final layer, I applied glitters and rays of energy emanating from his being. The soft light enhanced the tones and deepened the shadows.

Este dibujo ha sido uno de los lúgubres que he hecho. Y cada trazo fue una conversación con mi imaginación sobre estos seres que existen también en el plano espiritual. Espero que esta representación del inframundo les haya gustado.
