Hello bloggers I hope you are very well, I tell you that: In the last few days I have been trying my skills in new areas, one of them has been character creation which by the way is going very well and soon I will be able to show you all about that personal project that has me very motivated. Since I have been practicing character creation I said to myself that why not create characters that were intended for a children's book so as not to leave aside my editorial illustration that I love to do so much. So for this work I set myself a mini project of character creation in my style of children's illustration, I tell you how was the process to do it and the step by step as I always tell you.
Hola blogueros espero estén muy bien, les cuento que: En los últimos días he estado probando mis habilidades en nuevas áreas, una de ellas ha sido la creación de personaje que por cierto está yendo muy bien y pronto les podré mostrar todo acerca de ese proyecto personal que me tiene muy motivado. Ya que he estado practicando la creación de personajes me dije a mi mismo que porque no crear personajes que fueran destinados a un libro infantil para no dejar de lado mi ilustración editorial que tanto amo hacer. Así que para este trabajo me puse un mini proyecto de creación de personaje en mi estilo de ilustración infantil, te cuento como fue el proceso para hacerlo y el paso a paso como siempre te cuento.

(Gerda) is a Fairy of the forest of Terraria, a Kingdom where thousands of fantastic beings live, she is the guardian of the forest flowers, but she has a small defect and that is that she can not say no to anyone, because her parents always instilled in her to be very helpful with everyone, that of course has helped her to be very dear but also to meet beings that only take advantage of her kindness and that she can not say no to anyone.
(Gerda) es un Hada del bosque de Terraria, un Reino donde habitan miles de seres fantásticos, ella es guardiana de las flores del bosque, pero tiene un pequeño defecto y es que no puede decir que no a nadie, porque sus padres siempre le inculcaron ser muy servicial con todos, eso por supuesto la ha ayudado a ser muy querida pero también a conocer a seres que solo se aprovechan de su bondad y de que no puede decir no a nadie.

So having this and other descriptions about the character I wanted to create, I set off and sketched a little fairy that is made of natural elements such as leaves, flowers and vines, to reflect as a first image that the character is totally linked to nature, and I drew a butterfly that is made of petals to add the sense of delicacy and kindness. The truth is that this was the first sketch I did and I ended up liking it so much that I didn't need to do any more.
Así que teniendo esta y otras descripciones mas acerca del personaje que quería crear, me puse en marcha y boceté una pequeña hada que esta hecha de elementos naturales como hojas flor y enredaderas, para reflejar como primera imagen que el personaje esta ligado totalmente a la naturaleza, y le dibujé una mariposa que está hecha de pétalos para agregar el sentido de delicadeza y bondad. La verdad es que este fue el primer boceto que hice y me terminó gustando tanto que no necesité hacer ninguno mas.

For the color palette of this character I chose some earth tones and very vintage in grayish tones, one to reflect a certain sadness and optimism at the same time, this also because the environment is a rainy day with sun reflections, in a way every time I live a gray rainy day and the sun comes out I can't help thinking that we can live difficult situations and be happy at the same time. I chose a quite reduced palette and it was a real challenge to work with so few colors... but I made it.
Para la paleta de color de este personaje elegí unos tonos tierra y muy vintage en tonos grisáceos, uno para reflejar cierta tristeza y optimismo a la vez, esto también porque el entorno es un día lluvioso con reflejos de sol, de cierta manera cada vez que vivo un día lluvioso gris y sale el sol no puedo evitar pensar que podemos vivir situaciones difíciles y ser felices al mismo tiempo. Elegí una pelta bastante reducida y fue un verdadero reto trabajar con tan pocos colores... pero lo logré.

One of the things I loved about doing this work is that I got to try new textures and brushes. That along with the fact that I was creating for the first time a character entirely from my imagination is something that excited me a lot. I added a framing behind the character and there I elaborated the nature, it seemed to me a different touch to what I always do, besides it is a technique that is used a lot in character creation. Tell me what you thought about this little character creation, I would like to know your opinion.
Una de las cosas que amé de hacer este trabajo es que probé nuevas texturas y pinceles. Eso junto con el hecho de estar creando por primera vez un personaje enteramente de mi imaginación es algo que me emocionó muchísimo. Le agregué un encuadrado detrás del personaje y ahí elaboré la naturaleza, me pareció un toque diferente a lo que siempre hago, además que es una técnica que se utiliza mucho en creación de personajes. cuéntame que te ha parecido esta pequeña creación de personaje me gustaría saber tu opinión.
