I posted a few weeks ago about using Lensa's app to create AI self-portraits. If you are wanting to try it out yourself, then I suggest you go back and look at that blog.
Today I want to share my Cyborg-style images. Some of these are really cool and other ones look pretty odd. What is a cyborg exactly? Cyborgs are fictional or hypothetical persons whose physical abilities are extended beyond normal human limitations by mechanical elements built into the body. In other words, half human and half machine.
Most of the results for this style don't convince me that I am a cyborg. There are about three of them though that I think turned out pretty awesome and they do a great job of portraying me as a cyborg. I'm talking about the first three included in this post.
The AI can't quite decide whether I am bald or not. It also seems to shorten and lengthen my beard randomly. AI is pretty unpredictable, but it helps to provide quality photographs for it to work with. There is no guarantee that you will get a masterpiece from it, but you very well may.
Although we don't have the ability to predict the future with certainty, it is possible that humans may eventually choose to incorporate technology into their bodies in some way. Bio-hackers are already a thing and you'd be amazed at some of the tech people already have inside of their bodies.
This could take the form of implants that enhance certain physical or mental capabilities, or it could involve more extensive modifications to the body. Some people already use technology such as cochlear implants to restore or improve certain functions, and it is possible that such technologies could become more widespread in the future.
However, it is also important to consider the potential ethical and social implications of such developments. Might your body be taken over remotely? Could someone hack into your vision? Or worse, maybe somebody finds a way to give you nightmares for the rest of your life.
There will certainly be implications for those that wish to go the cyborg route in the future. Along with that will also come some pretty huge benefits. The first thing that comes to mind is Neuralink, but that is just one of many things currently in development.
I'm not sold on the idea of becoming a cyborg, but I have a feeling there are many people that would do it today if given the option. I'm also not sold on the fact that these 10 images today are actually cyborg-themed. Like I said before, a few look good but that's it.
Let me know what you think. What is your favorite of the bunch? Which one do you think is the funniest?
