The Card

Shadow Snitches are created by the conjurers of the Chaos Legion. Weaving Death magic, they breathe life into beings made completely of darkness. The purpose of the Shadow Snitches is to be deployed into lands prior to the Chaos Legion's invasion. Moving from shadow to shadow, they are listeners and watchers, feeding information back to the Chaos Legion.

Creative process - Proceso creativo:

Part 1: Designing SHADOW SNITCH

This design took me longer than expected. I wondered what a creature made of darkness would look like, with a thin body stretched at impossible angles? I imagined this creature in an alley, surrounded by mystery and vibrant colors.

I generated about 20 images, but none really inspired me to work.

So my next step was to create a “Prompt” that combined the following characteristics:

- The creature is humanoid, elongated and upright. 
- It has four limbs: two arms crossed over its chest and two outstretched, all with claws and sharp nails. 
- On its head it has a tuft of white hair and a central yellow eye.

I used Ideogram , after about 20 iterations and word correction tests, I finally selected an image to start working with.

Part 2: The Process in Images

To bring my creature to life, I used Photoshop and followed these steps:

Remove the Background from the Generated Image:
- I started by removing the background from the generated image. This would be our base image.

Preparing the Arms:

Next, I removed the background from a second image.
I took just the two arms and placed them in the base image.

Esta sería nuestra imagen base. 2. Preparando los Brazos:◦ Luego, retiré el fondo de una segunda image ◦ Tomé solo los dos brazos y los coloqué en la imagen base.

Working on the Face:

I used the Liquify tool to modify the creature's face.
I enlarged the eyes until they were as a single yellow dot.
I downloaded an image of a sunflower, removed its background and used the petals to simulate the creature's face.
I also generated an image for the pointed ears and used an image from Unsplash for the white tuft, as shown below.

- 3. Trabajando en la Cara:◦ Utilicé la herramienta “Licuar” para modificar la cara de la criatura.◦ Amplié los ojos hasta que quedaran como un único punto amarillo.◦ Descargué una imagen de un girasol, eliminé su fondo y utilicé los pétalos para simular la cara de la criatura. ◦ También generé una imágenen para las orejas puntiagudas y utilize una imagen de Unsplash para el mechón blanco, como se muestra a continuacion.

Creating the Clothing:
I used another generated image as a clipping mask to give darkness to the creature from waist to ankles, simulating clothing.

Adjusting the Color:
Finally, I adjusted the hue and saturation to give the creature characteristic coloration.
Place a beige background to highlight it.

Part 3: Creating the Background for SHADOW SNITCH

With the character ready, all that was missing was the background. To achieve it, I followed these steps:
-Image Generation:
I created several images in idogram that would serve as the basis for the background.
I downloaded two additional images from unsplash and pixabay to represent the smoke and the moon.

-. Merging and Editing:
I performed a merge between the base image and the character.
I adjusted the color correction, applying filters and levels until I obtained the final result.

Para lograrlo, seguí estos pasos-Generación de Imágenes◦ Creé varias imágenes en idogram que servirían como base para el fondo. ◦ Descargué dos imágenes adicionales de unsplash y pixabay para representar el humo y la luna -. Fusión y Edición: Realicé una fusión entre la imágene base y el personaje Ajusté la corrección de color, aplicando filtros y niveles hasta obtener el resultado final.
