Hello friends and dear aliens, I hope you are feeling very well, on this occasion I return here to participate in the 324 contest, I think it is the penultimate contest of this year 2024, so I hope that everyone has very creative ideas to share. I have made an illustration on black cardboard to draw Charlok Minotaur, I did it in a slightly macabre way, I have always liked this mythological figure and now it is part of the world of Splinterlands converted into a powerful creature. I briefly share with you the process step by step, I hope you like it.
Hola amigos y queridos aliens espero que se encuentren muy bien, en esta oportunidad regreso por aquí para participar en el concurso 324 creo que es el penúltimo concurso de este año 2024 así que deseo que todos tengan ideas muy creativas para compartir. He realizado una ilustración en cartulina de color negro para dibujar a Charlok Minotaur, lo hice de una forma un poco macabra, siempre me ha gustado esta figura mitológica y que ahora forma parte del mundo de Splinterlands convertido en una poderosa criatura. Comparto con ustedes brevemente el proceso paso a paso, espero que les guste.

I made the sketch of Charlok Minotaur in a very easy way, only using guide lines which I then erased and adapted to the design of the illustration that I have in mind. I try to mark some points to have a reference so I can get the proportions right, it is a fundamental part of my drawing style.
Hice el boceto de Charlok Minotaur de una manera muy fácil, solo sirviéndome de líneas guías las cuales luego voy borrando y acomodando al diseño de la ilustración que tengo en mente. Trato de marcar algunos puntos para tener una referencia y así me salgan bien las proporciones, es una parte fundamental de mi estilo de dibujo.

I then filled the inside of the face with white charcoal, while I simply made the sketch with white wax pencil, which is less intense. As you can see, I tried to make marked lines of expression on the face so that it would look very fierce and terrifying.
Seguidamente fui rellenando el interior del rostro con color blanco de carboncillo, mientras que el boceto lo hice simplemente con lápiz blanco de cera que es menos intenso. como pueden observar, trate de hacer en el rostro marcadas líneas de expresión para que se viera muy feroz y aterrador.

I also started to paint the horns little by little and added hair and a beard to the face like the one worn by goats and like the symbol of Baphomet, something dark but that I feel would give it a lot of personality.
También comencé a pintar los cuernos poco a poco y agregué al rostro cabello y una barba como la que usan los machos cabríos y como el símbolo de Baphomet, algo oscuro pero que siento que la daría mucha personalidad.

I continued painting the rest of the body, at least all the part that I could draw on the page. To finish I added reddish colors since that is the original character, however here they seem like the reflection of fire, a symbol that it is found in the depths of hell. This is how it was finished.
Seguí pintando el resto del cuerpo, al menos toda la parte que me alcanzó a dibujar en la página. Para finalizar agregué colores rojizos ya que así es el presonaje original, sin embargo aquí parecen como el reflejo del fuego, símbolo de que se encuentra en las profunidades del infierno. Así quedó finalizado.
What did you think of the result? Black cardboard helps a lot to achieve different results, I really like this style because it allows our mind to work more using only the color white, only when we already feel that the illustration is going well is when we add other tones. I hope you liked the result, I say goodbye until a new opportunity.
Qué les ha parecido el resultado? La cartulina de color negro ayuda mucho para conseguir resultados diferentes, me gusta mucho este estilo porque deja que nuestra mente trabaje más utilizando solo el color blanco, solo cuando ya sentimos que la ilustración va bien es cuando agregamos otros tonos. Espero les haya gustado el resultado, me despído hasta una nueva oportunidad.
