Hello, Alien Art and Splinterlands community! Returning to this weekly contest, I decided to contribute with this design inspired by Dallan. Its color palette is perfect for me, as I love dark designs that allow neon lights to stand out—particularly the green tone that makes this character unique on its card. Dallan's dark mage style, combined with his steampunk-themed arm, was an inspiration and a learning experience for me, helping me explore how to apply and combine these features across multiple images creatively.
Hola, comunidad de Alien Art y Splinterlands. Retomando mi participación en este concurso semanal, decidí contribuir con este diseño inspirado en Dallan. Su gama de colores es perfecta para mí, ya que adoro los diseños oscuros que permiten resaltar luces neón, en este caso con un tono verde que lo distingue en su carta. Su estilo de mago oscuro, combinado con un brazo de temática steampunk, me sirvió como inspiración y aprendizaje para aplicar estas características en varias imágenes, combinándolas de manera creativa.

I started by generating the mage using AI, which served as the ideal base for constructing the final design by combining other images. I created animal skulls, removed their backgrounds, and used a patch tool to erase the mage’s left hand, as it would be replaced with a steampunk-style hand. Next, I positioned the animal skulls on parts of the arm and hood, as reflected in the image. I also designed a steampunk-inspired glove, which I layered over the mage’s base, removing the background and adjusting the necessary elements. Finally, I added a dagger from another image, aiming to make the final result as close as possible to the original card.
Comencé generando con IA al mago, que sería la base ideal para construir el diseño final combinando otras imágenes. Para ello, creé calaveras de animales, eliminé sus fondos y utilicé un parche para borrar la mano izquierda del mago, ya que sería reemplazada por una mano steampunk. Luego, posicioné las calaveras de animales en partes de su brazo y capucha, tal como se refleja en la imagen. También diseñé un guante con estilo steampunk, que superpuse sobre la base del mago, eliminando el fondo y ajustando los elementos necesarios. Finalmente, añadí una daga tomada de otra imagen, logrando que el resultado se asemejara lo más posible a la carta original.
I realized a bit later that the skulls on the head and arm needed fangs. After generating several, I decided to cut them out and adjust them to match the perspective of the skulls. Over time, I refined the layers and shadows, eventually merging all the pieces to work on them as a whole. I also separated them in case they might be needed individually for a specific situation.
I followed a similar process for the skulls on the hips, cutting and placing them one by one, organizing them into a folder. Once I had all the necessary pieces, I used a giant bone hand as the background. Using the "smudge" tool, I slid and adjusted the tips of the hand to match the design of the selected card.

También las separé en caso de que fueran necesarias por separado en alguna situación específica.
Realicé un proceso similar con los cráneos de la cadera, recortándolos y colocándolos uno por uno, organizándolos en una carpeta. Una vez que obtuve todas las piezas necesarias, utilicé como fondo una mano gigante de huesos. Con la herramienta "dedo," deslicé y ajusté las puntas de la mano para acercarme al diseño de la carta elegida.
For the green glow effect, I created several layers of the same color, adding a few white ones to highlight certain areas. This allowed me to work on the lighting effectively, piece by piece. I started with the green eyes, then illuminated the fangs on the hood and the rest of the head, before moving on to the hand, which is the main source of light.
Using distortion effects and light corrections, I adjusted the details until achieving the final balance. For the background, I blended in a lighter shade of violet to create a striking contrast with the green, further enhancing the design. I hope to continue participating in the weekly contests and look forward to seeing the creations of new members.
Para el efecto de resplandor verde, creé varias capas del mismo color, añadiendo algunas en blanco para destacar ciertas áreas. Esto me permitió trabajar las luces de manera eficaz, pieza por pieza. Comencé con los ojos verdes, luego iluminé los colmillos de la capucha y el resto de la cabeza, y continué con la mano, que es la fuente principal de luz.
Utilizando efectos de distorsión y correcciones de luz, ajusté los detalles hasta lograr un equilibrio final. En el fondo, mezclé un violeta más claro para crear un contraste atractivo con el verde, resaltando aún más el diseño. Espero poder seguir participando en los concursos semanales y disfrutar de las creaciones de los nuevos integrantes.
