What is the idea?
The idea is inspired by representing this mythology as if Medusa herself had been petrified into a statue. Over time, or through the invocation of the card, the statue begins to crumble, revealing the original Medusa inside, with her distinctive colors and details exactly as depicted on the card. This transformation symbolizes the rebirth of Medusa's power, emerging from her stone confinement to reclaim her place.
La idea surge de representar esta mitología como si la propia Medusa hubiera sido petrificada en una estatua. Con el paso del tiempo, o mediante la invocación de la carta, la estatua comienza a desmoronarse, revelando en su interior a la Medusa original, con sus colores y detalles característicos tal como aparecen en la carta. Esta transformación simboliza el renacer del poder de Medusa, emergiendo de su confinamiento pétreo para reclamar su lugar.
When generating the image of the Medusa statue, I started by removing its background and making some corrections, such as those marked in green. I also removed the lower part of her dress because it had too many snake tails, which didn’t fit the concept I was aiming for. Once the background removal was complete, I moved on to the idea of creating the Medusa that would emerge from the statue.
I randomly generated a Medusa and, using layer overlays, developed the idea of the statue "unfreezing," transforming piece by piece. The snakes in her hair were also part of this process, giving the impression that they were slowly coming to life as the statue crumbled.
Al generar la imagen de la estatua de Medusa, comencé eliminando su fondo y realizando algunas correcciones, como las señaladas en verde. También eliminé la parte inferior de su vestido, ya que tenía demasiadas colas de serpiente, lo cual no encajaba con lo que buscaba. Una vez terminado el proceso de eliminación del fondo, continué con la idea de crear la Medusa que emergería de la estatua.
Generé una Medusa al azar y, utilizando la superposición de capas, desarrollé la idea de un "descongelamiento" de la estatua, donde esta se transformaba parte por parte. Las serpientes de su cabello también se integraron en este proceso, dando la impresión de que cobraban vida lentamente mientras la estatua se desmoronaba.
After completing the overlay, I took the snakes from the second image and painted glowing red eyes over them. Once the face and hair phase was finished, I generated an image of a large snake tail to define its shape and texture. After cropping it, I placed it above the dress, erasing part of the texture to create the illusion that it was located beneath the fabric.
Refining the details, I added a gold texture to the upper part of the chest and partially erased it, applying the same process to achieve a subtle and realistic integration.
Al finalizar la superposición, tomé las serpientes de la segunda imagen y pinté por encima unos ojos rojos resplandecientes. Una vez terminada la fase del rostro y el cabello, generé una imagen de una gran cola de serpiente para definir su forma y textura. Tras recortarla, la coloqué por encima del vestido, eliminando una parte de la textura para crear la ilusión de que se encontraba debajo del mismo.
Retomando los detalles, añadí una textura dorada en la parte superior del pecho y la eliminé parcialmente, aplicando el mismo proceso para dar una sensación de integración sutil y realista.
After darkening the image using some tools, I started applying strategic lighting to highlight specific areas. I also worked on the text fill, selecting elegant fonts with a Greek style. I experimented with various background combinations and, by using gradient styles and blending effects, I achieved a final result that matched my vision.
Después de oscurecer la imagen utilizando algunas herramientas, comencé a aplicar luces estratégicamente para resaltar ciertas áreas. También trabajé en el relleno de los textos, eligiendo tipografías elegantes con un estilo griego. Probé varias combinaciones de fondos y, al experimentar con estilos de degradados y fusiones, logré un resultado final que cumplía con mi visión.
