Queen of Crows | Splinterlands Art Contest 305

Queen of Crows brings with her a captivating visual aesthetic. Starting with her witch-like style and the crows that surround her, we can create various interpretations and play a bit in the world of digital art. This week, inspired by life's circumstances, I imagined what would happen if those crows, her minions, carried a bird virus that infected her, turning her into a zombie witch. A bit of imagination never hurts, I suppose. From this question, today's creation emerges. I will also share a video where I interactively show you the process.

Queen of Crows trae consigo una estética visual atrapante. Partiendo de su estilo de bruja y los cuervos que la rodean, podemos recrear varias interpretaciones y jugar un poco en el mundo del arte digital. Esta semana, inspirado por cosas de la vida, me pregunté qué pasaría si esos cuervos, sus súbditos, trajeran consigo una especie de virus aviar que la contagiara y la convirtiera en una bruja zombi. Un poco de imaginación no está mal, supongo. Desde esta pregunta parte la realización de hoy. También dejaré un video donde les acerco de manera interactiva el proceso.

I used AI to generate the human and zombie parts, and with these, I started to dismember parts to place them on top of each other, painting zombie parts such as the face and the arm. I needed to ensure they were from a similar perspective, and once I found the right image, I was able to achieve my goal. I always like to first create this "assembly or mock-up" of the final art, and then add details, background, and lighting at the end. As part of the assembly, the design also includes superficial hair painting since the trimming wasn't perfect. I decided to do it manually, although I would later need to add a gradient to match the hair color with the pink ensemble from the card.

Realicé con una IA las partes humanas y de zombies, y gracias a ellas comencé a desmembrar partes para colocarlas por encima de otras, pintando partes de zombies como el rostro y el brazo. Tenía que conseguir que se encuentren desde una perspectiva similar, así que una vez conseguida la imagen, pude lograr el cometido. Siempre me gusta primero realizar este "armado o maquetado" del arte final, para luego detallar fondo y luces que se adjudican al final. Como parte del armado, el diseño también tiene un pintado superficial del pelo ya que el recorte no fue el mejor y decidí realizarlo a mano. Aunque después debería agregarle un degradado con el color de pelo del conjunto rosa que posee la carta.

Time passed, and I started darkening the image to be able to use a glow effect on the zombie's eye, making it stand out more and enhancing the artwork. After adding a few crows, I proceeded to create some shadows and then worked on the background and lighting.

I decided to generate a background that includes a moon and a forest because, according to my logic, a witch would be found in a forest performing invocations. After setting up this background, I created a light behind the character with a bright orange hue to illuminate her from behind. This was accompanied by some motion effects with the crows to give the impression of movement, as seen in the card. The blur and details were fine-tuned to perfect the witch, and then the final title was placed on her left with a "zombie" sign to clarify the interpretation for this entry.

El tiempo transcurrió y comencé a oscurecer la imagen para poder usar un resplandor en el ojo del zombi y que se destaque un poco mejor, realzando el arte. Luego de colocar unos cuervos, terminé realizando algunas sombras y procedí con el uso del fondo y las luces.

Se me ocurrió generar un fondo que contenga una luna y un bosque ya que, según mi lógica, una bruja se encontraría en un bosque realizando invocaciones. Luego de esta ejecución, hice una luz detrás de un color similar a un anaranjado claro que terminaría de iluminarla por detrás. Esto fue acompañado de unos detalles de movimiento junto a los cuervos para dar la visual de que se mueven como en la carta. El desenfoque y los detalles fueron pintados para ayudar a perfeccionar la bruja, y luego el título final se contempla a su izquierda con el cartel "zombie" para aclarar la interpretación para esta participación.
