I'm currently working on a project for which I need a lot of illustrations. I thought about using illustrations from an image bank, but in the end I decided to do them myself.
The scenarios are set in a dreamlike world, weird, uncommon or with strange shapes and figures. The colors are different from those seen in our world, being predominantly blue, purple, green and red, the characteristic colors of these scenarios. I present then, a glimpse of these different worlds that I have created.

Actualmente me encuentro trabajando en un proyecto para el que necesito de un montón de ilustraciones. Pensé en usar ilustraciones de algún banco de imágenes, pero al final me decidí en hacerlas yo mismo.
Los escenarios están ambientados en un mundo onírico, raro, poco común o con formas y figuras extrañas. Reinan tonalidades distintas a las que se ven en nuestro mundo, siendo predominantes el azul, morado, verde y rojo, los colores característicos de estos escenarios. Les presento pues, un vistazo a estos mundos diferentes que he creado.
I don't consider myself particularly good at drawing scenery or landscapes; they don't always look good on me and that's why I've put a lot of effort into practicing to improve every day. That's why I wanted to create these drawings. I'll show you the first one.
World 1
This is a landscape of a dark and mysterious place, with the tonalities I mentioned before.
We see a dark character, who we don't know who he is or what he looks like or what features he has, so his appearance is left to the imagination of the viewer.

No me considero especialmente bueno dibujando escenarios o paisajes; no siempre me quedan bien y por eso he puesto empeño en practicar para mejorar cada día. De ahí el que quisiera crear estos dibujos. Les mostraré el primero.
Mundo 1
Este es un paisaje de un lugar oscuro y misterioso, con las tonalidades que mencioné anteriormente.
Vemos a un personaje oscuro, que no sabemos quien es ni cómo es o qué rasgos tiene, así que su apariencia queda a imaginación del espectador.

Step by step
I would like to share with you part of the creative process as I tell you more about this digital artwork.
As you can see, I made a series of lines and textures that I placed side by side until I covered the entire canvas. I want to make it clear that I did it all myself.
Paso a paso
Me gustaría compartirles parte del proceso creativo mientras les cuento más sobre esta obra digital.
Como pueden ver, hice una serie de líneas y texturas que puse una al lado de la otra hasta cubrir el lienzo completo. Aclaro que todo lo hice yo.
On the base background of the drawing I made a big white spot that would be the path that the character walks. At first it doesn't look like a road, but just a spot, but then it will take shape.
In the background you can also see that I made different elongated shapes that would be the buildings that can be seen in the horizon of the landscape.
Sobre el fondo base del dibujo hice una gran mancha blanca que sería el camino que recorre el personaje. En un primer momento no parece un camino, sino solo una mancha, pero luego tomará forma.
En el fondo también pueden ver que hice distintas formas alargadas que serían los edificios que se ven en el horizonte del paisaje.

After creating these basic shapes I continued adding lighter spots to simulate fog, cloudiness and darkness in the scenery, because as I said, it is a somewhat gloomy scenery, with mysterious tints...
Después de creas estas formas básicas continué agregando manchas más claras para simular niebla, nubosidad y oscuridad en el escenario, pues como dije es un escenario un poco tétrico, con tintes misteriosos...
I added a layer for the flat terrain, where the road will be, and I made a thick and dark stripe to delimit well the road where the main character of the drawing is going. I used a brown color scale for each of these components.
Agregué una capa para el terreno plano, donde estará el camino, e hice una franja gruesa y oscura para delimitar bien el camino por donde se dirige el protagonista del dibujo. Usé una escala de colores marrones para cada uno de estos componentes.

Then I continued darkening the front part of the drawing, marking the difference between what is near and what is far away, there in the horizon. I also made a sort of nearby building that is on the left side of the drawing, with a respective shadow that can be seen on the ground.
Seguidamente continué oscureciendo la parte frontal del dibujo, marcando la diferencia entre lo que está cerca y lo que está lejos, allá en el horizonte. También hice una suerte de edificio cercano que está al lado izquierdo del dibujo, con una respectiva sombra que se ve en el suelo.

The last thing was to add the colors that make up the drawing, as I told you they are uncommon shades in the natural lights of the earth.
Lo último fue agregar los colores que componen el dibujo, como les dije son tonalidades poco comunes en las luces naturales de la tierra.
At the moment of drawing the character, I wanted to make a strange, deformed shape, but I saw that it didn't look good. I redrew a simple sketch and then filled it in; I placed his shadow and lighting.
Below you can see the whole creative process of the only character in this illustration.
Al momento de dibujar al personaje, quise hacer una forma rara, deforme, pero vi que no quedaba bien. Volví a hacer un boceto sencillo y luego lo rellené; le coloqué su sombra y su iluminación.

And here is the final result of the whole process shown above.
In my imagination it is as if this were a traveler who is getting to know a new world and fearfully enters the unknown, while walking through the gloom of this mysterious and yet colorful world...
Y aquí el resultado final de todo el proceso anteriormente mostrado.
En mi imaginación es como si este fuese un viajero que está conociendo un nuevo mundo y se adentra temeroso en lo desconocido, mientras camina por la penumbra de este misterioso y a la vez colorido mundo...
World 2
Another scenario that I wanted to recreate, was a scenario a little flatter, but with certain shadows to give depth to the drawing.
As you can see, I kept the same tonalities of the previous world, so we could say that it is the same mysterious world that we are seeing in world 1.
Mundo 2
Otro escenario que quise recrear, fue un escenario un poco más plano, pero con ciertas sombras para no dejar de darle profundidad al dibujo.
Como pueden ver, conservo las mismas tonalidades del mundo anterior, así que podríamos decir que es el mismo mundo misterioso que estamos viendo en el mundo 1.
Could it be the earth? Because there is a moon there, very similar to our moon?
But what is that that is seen between the buildings? Are they spaceships? Are they aliens or new ships of humans?
I leave it, again, to the viewer, who will be the one to interpret each drawing as they wish and give their own story to each scenario.
Step by step
I started the same as the previous one, creating the base background, which in this case are two thick and blurred brushstrokes of blue and white colors. Then I started adding dark and gray tones to simulate clouds.
¿Será la tierra? Porque ahí está una luna, muy parecida a la luna de nosotros...
¿Pero qué es eso que se ve entre los edificios? ¿Acaso son naves espaciales? ¿Serán extraterrestres o nuevas naves de los humanos?
Lo dejo, de nuevo, a criterio del espectador, quien será quien interprete cada dibujo como desee y le de su propia historia a cada escenario.
Paso a paso
Comencé igual que el anterior, creando el fondo base que en este caso son dos pinceladas gruesas y difuminadas de colores azules y blancos. Luego comencé a agregar tonalidades oscuras y grises para simular nubes.

I drew dark and pronounced mountains, being a mountain in the background the center of the drawing. Although it is somewhat central, it is not the most striking thing, as there are other objects in the drawing that are more striking. In addition, although small, I also placed a few stars in the sky.
Dibujé montañas oscuras y pronunciadas, siendo una montaña al fondo el centro del dibujo. Aunque es algo central, tampoco es lo que más llama la atención, pues hay otros objetos en el dibujo que son más llamativos. Además, aunque pequeñas, también le coloqué al cielo unas cuántas estrellas.

In addition to mountains, I also made buildings. Note that these buildings have more regular shapes than the buildings in the previous drawing. Could they be buildings from another city or another world...?
Look at the colors. If the drawing were made during the day, it would have that brown color you see in one of the images; however, since it is at night, I darkened it using more blue, but without completely covering the original color of each building.
Además de montañas, también hice edificios. Nótese que estos edificios tienen formas más regulares que los edificios del dibujo anterior. ¿Serán edificios de otra ciudad o de otro mundo...?
Vean los colores. Si el dibujo fuese hecho de día, tendría ese color marrón que se ve en una de las imágenes; sin embargo, como es de noche, lo oscurecí usando más azul, pero sin cubrir por completo el color original de cada edificio.

See below how the buildings look with the lights. How did I make these lights? With a square brush and patience, lots of patience.
Vean a continuación cómo se ven los edificios con las luces. ¿Cómo hice estas luces? Con un pincel cuadrado y paciencia, mucha paciencia.
Ah, the moon... that object that makes us doubt if this is another world or if it is the same planet earth. We know our moon, we know what it is in whatever picture it is drawn....
But is it really our moon? Apparently it is.
But see how I made it. First a large white sphere, a few dark gray spots to simulate craters. Finally, a little glow around this beautiful white celestial body.
Ah, la luna... ese objeto que nos hace dudar si este es otro mundo o si es el mismo planeta tierra. Conocemos nuestra luna, sabemos cual es en cualquier dibujo en el que se haga...
¿Pero realmente es nuestra luna? Aparentemente lo es.
Pero vean cómo la hice. Primero una esfera blanca y grande, unas cuantas manchas oscuras de color gris para simular los cráteres. Por último, un poco de brillo alrededor de este blanco y hermoso cuerpo celeste.

But, if this beautiful moon makes us think that this world is the earth, the following can make us think that it is being visited by strangers from another world...
Pero, si esta hermosa luna nos hace pensar que este mundo es la tierra, lo siguiente nos puede hacer pensar que está siendo visitada por extraños de otro mundo...
Despite the similarities that can be found with the earth, this colorful haze of blue, green, purple and red makes us doubt much more, because these are not colors that are usually seen in the environment around us, at least not in clouds and fog...
Pese a las similitudes que se le puedan encontrar con la tierra, esta bruma colorida de azul, verde, morado y rojo nos pone a dudar mucho más, pues no son colores que habitualmente se vean en el ambiente que nos rodea, al menos no en nubes y en neblina...
Well friends, this was my experimentation with landscapes from another world. Landscapes that we could imagine them different from those of the planet earth, but that perhaps might not be so different from the ones we have here. After all, we live in the same universe, which is governed by the same physical laws...

Bien amigos, esta fue mi experimentación con paisajes de otro mundo. Paisajes que podríamos imaginarlos diferentes a los del planera tierra, pero que quizás podrian no distar tanto de los que tenemos aquí. Después de todo, vivimos en el mismo universo, que es regido por las mismas leyes físicas...
