Digital Art Creation Process
STEP 1
Sketching to Grayscale

I start with this rough pose I made for the illustration. A great way to fill up your blank canvass is to sketch it loose. Just fill it up with some scribbles of shapes you desire to create.

Next, lower the opacity of the rough sketch. Add another layer on top and start to define the shape through these lines. Since I am just going to paint it over I didn't have to make the lines so clean and firm.

Third, create another layer and paint one color under the lines. Lock the transparent pixels so that we can't paint outside the colored area.

Lastly, I paint the dark and light values (grayscale) and this is how it looks like.
I moved on the coloring stage after this.
STEP 2
Coloring Stage

What I did here is add another layer on top of the grayscale. Set this to overlay mode and paint over the base color of the creature.

Continue brushing and adding some light textures on its body.

Lastly, I darken the part where the shadows will be occurring.
I'm happy with the result and this time I want to render it now. I proceed to my next and final step.
STEP 3
Rendering the Illustration

I create another layer. That layer is just set to normal mode. By coloring picking what is inside the present color. I started from the eyes down to the mouth, also little bit light on the bone.

Continue brushing through its body defining the shapes and make it readable. Just slowly and enjoying every brush strokes I made into the illustration. Stop for a while and have some dinner😁

Went back with some fresh look at the illustration. Turn on some music and continue to render this piece. I clearly see here that the artwork is turning into what I want it to be. I'm happy with this already.

Finally, give it a little adjustment by enhancing the brightness and saturation of the piece. And darken the shadow area. Also make the sound GGRRRAAAWWWRRR!! hahah DONE!
That's it folks illustration done!😌
Take the time to also watch its gif process from start to finish😁

You made it to the end of this post. I really appreciate your time and attention. Keep up the good work and have fun! Until next art illustration stay tuned😁
