Hello fam👾
Hello everyone happy weekday, it's almost the end of the week and it's been a hell long time since I posted....so here we are!!
She wasn’t born a warrior. She was made one.
Tokatag Conscript once lived a quiet life on the edges of the Draykh-Nahka warzones, until the fires of war came crashing down. Her home burned, her family scattered, and everything soft in her was torn away. But she didn’t break. She rose from the ashes, conscripted, hardened, and reborn as one of the fiercest frontline commanders the Splinterlands has ever seen.
Clad in battered armor and wielding a glaive almost as tall as herself, she charges into battle with quiet fury and unshakable strength. Tokatag doesn’t speak much, but her presence roars louder than any war cry. She fights for the abandoned, the betrayed, and the voiceless. She is proof that even the forced and forgotten can rise up and lead.
🎮 In-Game Power Stats
In the battlefield of Splinterlands, Tokatag Conscript brings solid frontline strength, especially for newer or mid-range decks. Here’s a quick peek at her battle stats:
Mana Cost: 5
Attack Type: Magic
Magic Damage: 2
Speed: 3
Health: 6
Armor: 0
Ability: Conscript – Allows an additional Gladiator card in Brawl battles. 🔥
Her true power shines in Brawl mode, where her Conscript ability unlocks the chance to bring Gladiator cards into the arena, those game-changing wildcards that can swing the fight in your favor. She’s often used in backline support or mid-tier slots to chip away enemy health with solid magic damage while giving you the edge through Gladiator synergy.
So yes! She's not just cool to draw, she’s a real asset in-game too!
The drawing process.
I always get excited when working on a Splinterlands character, but Tokatag brought out something extra in me. Maybe it’s her backstory. Maybe it’s her quiet strength. Either way, this was a blast to draw with good old-fashioned traditional tools.
I started with a light pencil sketch on paper, mapping out her pose, firm, grounded, like someone who belongs in the chaos of war. Her weapon is planted, her expression is elegant, and her posture says: “I’ve already survived worse.” But in a gracefully manner..
I especially paid attention to the face. I wanted that glimpse to carry the entire emotion of the piece, steady, determined, and deeply human....well you have to agree with me a drawing indeed comes to life when you're done with it
Next came the inking. I used my trusted pens to define edges, darken shadows, and give that gritty contrast traditional ink is so good at.
Then it was time to color. I carefully layered each section, keeping things bold but balanced, focusing on contrast, texture, and mood.
For the final touches, I added shading, highlights, and a few dramatic effects using pen techniques, especially on the petals. Everything was done by hand, with heart. No filters. Just passion and ink.
đź’¬ Final Thoughts
Tokatag Conscript is one of those characters who lingers in your mind. She’s not showy. She’s not loud. But she commands attention by simply existing. Drawing her with traditional tools made the process feel personal, like I wasn’t just illustrating her story, I was walking alongside her.
She’s the warrior who didn’t choose war, but chose to own it. Let me know what you think, and would you follow her into battle, or face her across the line? ⚔️
Thank for stopping by as always.
