Art Process

Usually, I go for a portrait layer. Since the character has a horizontally elongated, I opted for the opposite layer.

- shading and lighting
Final Art
On the initial sketch, I thought of under the sea. But then, the splash of water is cannot be done in that environment, so I just opted to beach as the background.
