Hi! I'm Johsting and this is my first post in this community. I'm excited about the content I see around here and I'm really looking forward to showing you guys a little bit of what I know how to do. I hope you like it a lot. Now I'm going to tell you about the illustration I bring you.
Hola! Soy Johsting y este es mi primer post en esta comunidad. Estoy emocionado con el contenido que veo por aquí y tengo muchas ganas de mostrarles un poco de lo que sé hacer. Espero que les guste un montón. Ahora les voy a contar sobre la ilustración que les traigo.
This is one of the three illustrations I had to do as part of a college assignment. The idea was to create three self-portraits that reflect different aspects of my identity. The first one is about how I see myself inside, my personality, who I am, that's what individual identity is all about. Then there is the identity we project, the collective identity, how others see us. And finally, there is the version of me when I put on my work hat, the professional identity.
Esta es una de las tres ilustraciones que tuve que hacer como parte de una tarea de la universidad. La idea era crear tres autoretratos que reflejaran distintos aspectos de mis identidades. El primero, es sobre cómo me veo a mí mismo por dentro, mi personalidad, quien soy, de eso va la identidad indivual. Luego está la identidad que proyectamos, la colectiva, cómo nos ven los demás. Y por último, está la versión de mí cuando me pongo el sombrero de trabajo, la identidad profesional.
Today I want to show you my self-portrait that speaks of who I am, and how I perceive and represent my individual identity. I feel that this illustration says a lot about me, but instead of telling you about myself, I want the illustration to speak for itself, and be open to your interpretations. I'd love to know what you think, so leave me your comments and I'll read them all.
Hoy les quiero mostrar mi autoretrato que habla de quién soy, como percibo y represento mi identidad indivual. Siento que esta ilustración dice mucho sobre mí, pero en vez de contarles yo, quiero que la ilustración hable por sí misma, y esté abierta a sus interpretaciones. Me gustaría saber qué opinan, asi que déjenme sus comentarios y los leeré todos.
