My drawing today I really enjoyed doing it, since I did it with a technique that a friend recommended me, it is the first time I use it and I really liked the result. Before telling you more about this technique, I would like to explain a little about what inspired my drawing.
It is inspired by one of the cards from the Splinterlands game, and with this I am participating in their Weekly Art Contest (link). The name of this card is "Battle Orca".
Mi dibujo de hoy me gustó mucho hacerlo, ya que lo realicé con una técnica que me recomendó una amiga, es la primera vez que la uso y me gustó mucho el resultado. Antes de comentarles más sobre esta técnica, me gustaría explicar un poco acerca de lo que sirvió de inspiración a mi dibujo.
Está inspirado en una de las cartas del juego de Splinterlands, y con esto estoy participando en su Concurso de Arte Semanal (enlace). El nombre de esta carta es "Battle Orca".
Killer whales are very majestic, intelligent and beautiful marine animals, with a striking contrast between their black and white color. They are known to be the only carnivorous whales, and they are called killer because they kill other species of larger whales, and even white sharks.
For my drawing I used a sheet of white letter size paper, (21.6 x 27.9 cm), black pencil, black marker, blue crayon. I started with my drawing of the killer whale and then I added the waves of the sea.
Las orcas son animales marinos muy majestuosos, inteligentes y hermosos, con un llamativo contraste entre su color negro y blanco. Son conocidas por ser las únicas ballenas carnívoras, y se les llama ballenas asesinas ya que matan a otras especies de ballenas más grandes, e incluso hasta a tiburones blancos.
Para mi dibujo utilicé una hoja de papel blanco tamaño carta, (21.6 x 27.9 cm), lápiz negro, marcador negro, lápiz de color azul y crayola. Comencé con mi dibujo de la orca y después fui añadiendo las olas del mar.
To fill in my drawing I was inspired by the Zentangle Technique, recommended to me by my friend @chacald.dcymt who uses it very often in the beautiful drawings she makes, and she encouraged me to try it. This was my first time, and I found it a little difficult because it has a lot of details and my hand got tired all the time, but I really liked how it looks, and I think I will explore it more, because it is very beautiful.
Para rellenar mi dibujo me inspire en la Técnica Zentangle, que me recomendó mi amiga @chacald.dcymt quien la utiliza con mucha frecuencia en los bellos dibujos que realiza, y me animó a probarla. Esta fue mi primera vez, y me resultó un poco difícil porque lleva muchos detalles y se me cansaba la mano a cada rato, pero me gustó mucho cómo luce, y creo que la voy a explorar más, ya que es muy bonita.
To finish, I added some color to the sky with a crayon by placing the paper on a textured surface and using the rubbing technique, darkening the upper part more, to create contrast. For the sea, I drew the outline of the waves with blue crayon.
Here is the final result, and I hope you like my interpretation.
Para finalizar le añadí un poco de color al cielo con una crayola colocando la hoja sobre una superficie con textura y usando la técnica del frotado, oscureciendo más la parte superior, para crear contraste. Para el mar, dibujé el contorno de las olas con lápiz de color azul.
