For my current mixed media art project, I wanted to share several designs I created after discovering a program in the Alien Art Hive's Resources channel, PhotoMosh. I leave here the link to the site if you'd like to explore. Since I don't use PhotoShop, I have found several resources to similate the experience to produce the results I needed to design my mixed media art projects.
First, the PhotoMosh program is free to use. The option to upgrade to a Pro account is available. I used the free version to create my designs I'm sharing today.
Second, the interface looks simple. However, the features under the drop down menus are awesome. I don't understand all they entail yet, so I only used a few tools until I get a grasp of their power. So thanks @juliakponsford for making this site and others listed in the channel available to all Alien members.
The base image for my designs originated from the stable diffusion program, StarryAI, to create an eerie alien butterfly I titled "Ancient" with which to work with. I thought perhaps the wings of a butterfly with the face of an angel would be a fun subject to design. I love creating projects from various mixed media art.
Below are my steps:
Text input:
"Alien butterfly with distorted face and beautiful wings, dragon tail."
Type: Fantasy
Iterations: 50
Seed: 1735324061
Result:

Then, I created a second version of my base image to achieve a distorted look to work with.

I was then ready to explore PhotoMosh. I uploaded my stable diffusion images into PhotoMosh so that I could apply a few of the filtering tools located to the right of the screen:

Vignette

RGB Shift

Solorize

Edges

Posterize and Hue
Once I applied the various filters, I saved the moshed images so that I could work with them in Canva to experiment with various backgrounds.
Next I located a few images to accompany the moshed version I felt would enhance the final base design before completed the projects in Canva. Some of the images are my pure fractals I created in the advanced fractal rendering program, Apophysis 7X.
Once inside Canva, I had at my disposal background images and tools such as image background removal, resizing, repositioning, and colorizing to complete my projects.
