Hello Alien Art Hive Community members. This is my fourth entry in the AAH community contests. I'm happy to participate and bring my version of "my worst fear". My approach to this contest is that of a forwarding-looking outcome to the world as we know it today given the dire direction it is headed on several fronts. I titled my piece, "Cry, The Beloved World".

"Cry, The Beloved World"

For this month's contest theme depicting my worse fear, I reflect on injustice, oppression, misinformation, bias on a mass scale, and the disintegration of our planet. Is this the legacy we want to leave to our children? How will they deal with the situation in the future if the fact and circumstances are distorted, mixed and reshuffled, then disseminated in a form that is unrecognizable. Filtering through the landfill to reach the bottom truth will be daunting, if not impossible.
The greatest injustice is currently happening in all parts of the world today. The attempt to rewrite history to eliminate shameful misdeeds of the past has strong backing with those willing to perpetrate this evil on knowledge for our generation and the next. What will happen when those who know the truth and are able to refute these lies are gone? A world left with no accurate accounting of its past. A shameful atrocity indeed.
Another such injustice is to currently distort the truth so as to mischaracterize events one sees occurring right in front of their eyes. Don't trust your lying eyes. This is the mindset those who wish to deflect and detract would want us to believe. We must stay strong and vigilant to the naked trust, no matter how painful the facts are. We must face the truth and deal with it justly. That justice is applied to all is negligent.
Injustice for our environment. Who will protect it when protection is stripped away for private and society gains? We are experiencing the hottest temperatures on record, and still there are those who deny our climate is changing. More frequent and severe natural disasters around the globe can't be denied.
The final injustice is to put in place laws and people to uphold the misdeeds mentioned earlier.
Together, they make for one mass world destruction at the expense of our children who don't yet understand adult manipulation on a grand scale.
Cry, for the beloved world! I wish there was more that could be done instead of weeping.
To complete my theme, I created a beautiful pure fractal that represents hope in a world headed for destruction. I designed the fractal in Apophysis 7X, an advanced fractal rendering program. I love the intricate details of the petals in flowers, together with the winding web of delicate blue. I purposely rendered the fractal on a black background so every details could be seen.
My thought was to place my female image on each side of the petals.
To represent the world's landscape that is being tortured, I located a dramatic free-sourced image that resembles a tormented mountainside. I immediately felt the impact of this image in connection with my theme of destruction of the world.

To represent the female in the theme, a bronze statue portraying a female lying down I felt was perfect. The knees are bent in a protective pose.

The only pother image I included in my scene would represent a tear shed for the world. I discovered this unique image in the LMAC database contributed by one of its members, @quantumg.

With all images selected, blending them required a design program. The program I use regularly is Canva. I uploaded the items to take advantage of the pro features, such as background removal, sizing, colorizing, and filters.
First, I started with a blank canvas colored black.
So, I resized the fractal to fit the entire portion of the screen as the background.
In this phase, I duplicated the female image and positioned them to rest on the petals.
Second, I added the pure flower petal fractal, but realized the image wouldn't fit the screen.
The next step was to add the female image. For effect, I switched the orientation.
Finally, I added the water image that served as a teardrop.
Below is the completed project.

Thanks for your visit. I hope you liked my mixed media art project entry for Alien Art Hive's Contest No. 4.
