What power Eve possessed that once unleashed, there was no putting it back into the Earth's core. My thoughts turned to @eve66.
The stone face I adorned her in is a tribute. I see in her a younger version of myself, although from different countries. Her plight in life she keeps close. No weeping and wailing or pity party. She manages what she's able to earn on Hive to helps her family. Her positive attitude is a tribute to those who face difficulties, but still forge ahead.
Not all individuals face the same circumstances. But can you imagine living in a country where inflation is high, and personal resources are extremely low. Your livelihood is assisted somewhat by being online; yet access to electricity and mobile services to get online are sometimes not available. It's beyond frustration. It can be daunting and demoralizing. You want to give in and give up. But you can't!
Some have said to me directly. "You don't know what it's like. You live in the U.S."
I merely smile and think of the current situation here. According to the U.S. Census, 36.5 million people live below the poverty level. 1 For the working poor, the minimum income to be considered impoverished is 15,650USD a year for a single household. For a family of four, it's 32,156USD a year. 2
Some will still say, "but it's better than many other countries."
That statement is true. But one has to consider numerous other factors. Recently, a family member with modest income considered purchasing a new home. She reported that in our state, the price for a 3-bedroom home cost $350,000. A modest, 3-bedroom home across the country ranges from $125,000 to $900,000.3
For those earning below the poverty level, home ownership is nearly impossible. And the price of renting a 1-bedroom apartment ranges anywhere above $1,000 a month in some states.
In my youth, our family was considered poor in the 1960s South. However, as a young adult, I was able to work through adversity; multitask; a family; career; eldercare; and helping extended family. But age has carried the weight of the years, burdened with responsibility.
After accounting for various necessary expenses such as medical, food, clothing, the ability to survive, let alone thrive, is daunting.
So I do understand, and dedicate this mixed media project to @eve66. This is wishing you better days ahead with health and resources.
For my current mixed media project, I viewed a project by @avdesing Mind in eruption ❤️ Amonet (EN-ES). Captivating it was with the female surrounded by lava with a contrasting background of serenity. I decided to replicate the contrast inside different circumstances. Thanks so much @avdesing for the inspiration.
Below are my steps. I utilized Canva, my design program, to blend the different type images. I leave with you my procedures which began with a blank, white canvas. I then added layers of elements in accordance with my upgraded Annual Pro Membership that includes tools to remove backgrounds, resize, filter, duplicate, and reposition items as required.
Two contrasts; top cool part would be the serene landscape; bottom would be the fiery landscape scene duplicated to surround the female.
- I began with a blank canvas, then added the planet illuminated by lightning;
- Positioned the planet in the skyline, then adjusted the transparency to fit the background;
- Added the serene image I created in Nvidia Gaugan of a beautiful lake and verdant forest with snowy backdrop. Controlled the placement by placing the landscape scene in a different layered frame;
- Added the birds to the skyline.
- Created the barrier on both sides by detaching the frame from the chiseled female face in the mountain. I used both the face and the frame;
- Added the female image; resized it to fill the forefront as I wanted her image to loom large on the canvas;
- I created the bottom landscape volcano by only using part of an overflowing lava image that I separated from the remaining part.
Below are the images I included in my design. I love the power that the stone face portrayed. Also, I chose that particular female image of a model posing with one hand on her hip as though in a sassy, confident stance, ready to take on the world. A perfect fit for my theme in the "bring it on!" bold statement.

Qué poder poseía Eva que, una vez desatado, no había forma de devolverlo al núcleo de la Tierra. Mis pensamientos se dirigieron a @eve66.
La cara de piedra con la que la adorné es un homenaje. Veo en ella una versión más joven de mí mismo, aunque de países diferentes. Su difícil situación en la vida la mantiene cerca. No llora ni se lamenta. Se las arregla con lo que puede ganar en Hive para ayudar a su familia. Su actitud positiva es un tributo a quienes se enfrentan a dificultades, pero siguen adelante.
No todas las personas se enfrentan a las mismas circunstancias. Pero ¿te imaginas vivir en un país donde la inflación es alta y los recursos personales son extremadamente bajos? Para mi actual proyecto de técnica mixta, vi un proyecto de @avdesing Mente en erupción ❤️ Amonet (EN-ES). Era cautivador ver a la mujer rodeada de lava con un fondo de serenidad que contrastaba. Decidí replicar el contraste dentro de diferentes circunstancias. Muchas gracias @avdesing por la inspiración.
Abajo están mis pasos. Utilicé Canva, mi programa de diseño, para mezclar las diferentes imágenes tipo. Os dejo mis procedimientos que comenzaron con un lienzo en blanco, blanco. Luego agregué capas de elementos de acuerdo con mi Membresía Anual Pro actualizada que incluye herramientas para eliminar fondos, cambiar el tamaño, filtrar, duplicar y reposicionar elementos según sea necesario.
Dos contrastes; la parte superior fría sería el paisaje sereno; la parte inferior sería la escena del paisaje ardiente duplicada para rodear a la mujer.
- Empecé con un lienzo en blanco y luego añadí el planeta iluminado por un rayo;

- Añadí los pájaros a la línea del horizonte.
- Creé la barrera a ambos lados separando el marco del rostro femenino cincelado en la montaña. Utilicé tanto el rostro como el marco;
- Añadí la imagen femenina; la redimensioné para que ocupara todo el primer plano, ya que quería que su imagen se viera grande en el lienzo;
- Creé el volcán del paisaje inferior utilizando sólo parte de una imagen de lava desbordante que separé de la parte restante.
A continuación se muestran las imágenes que incluí en mi diseño. Me encanta el poder que transmite la cara de piedra. Además, elegí la imagen femenina de una modelo posando con una mano en la cadera, como si tuviera una postura atrevida y segura, lista para enfrentarse al mundo. Encajaba a la perfección con mi tema: «¡Adelante!
