We all need a sliver of help. It's as simple as that.

For my current mixed media art project, I envisioned designing a therapist's office. Not only is the doctor somewhat peculiar, but the decor is mesmerizing, in a spooky sense. I chose the color red as the background to symbolize strong desires. The couch fit perfectly with my theme. However, the wall decor symbolizes two possible outcomes from the therapy visit!
According to Color Psychology, Red is one of the most fascinating colors that uncover various meanings, symbols, and associations. It's usually associated with human beings' strong emotions, such as love, desire, and anger.
From descriptions of fiery red hair, blood sport, or red carpet chosen for social events, this color is regarded as a "head-turner", one that individuals can't ignore.
Different cultures have used the color Red as identification symbols. Also, Red is a primary color on the color scale. It represents passion, warmth, and sexuality, but it's also personifies danger, violence, and aggression, all powerful elements.
Below are my procedures:

I chose the images carefully to fulfill my vision of a deranged doctor intent on helping creative individuals. The decor followed.

I then utilized Canva to blend the different type images. I leave with you my procedures which began with adding layers of elements in accordance with my upgraded Annual Pro Membership that includes tools to remove backgrounds, resize, filter, duplicate, and reposition items as required.
Perhaps of all the tools, the ability to remove backgrounds attached to pre-made images whereby creating transparencies is crucial to the blending process.
- To a blank, white canvas I added the red couch as a background; then resized it to fit the entire screen;
- Added the male alien image; reposition to appear as though rising from the couch;
- Added the red circle image behind the alien's head; adjusted the transparency so that the couch's back was visible; and
- Added two images (skull and butterfly) for decor to be used as wall photos; and
- Finally, added the doctor's office sign.

ANIMATION
Remaining in Canva, I chose the background flower image as the animated element in the project. I encased the image in a free Circle Frame Template. Using the Animation tool; I selected the Pulse style; and reduced the pulsing frequency to low. That way, the result would be a slow pulsating motion.
Lastly, I resized and positioned the flower in the center of the alien's face. I was thoroughly pleased with how the project turned out.
I share with you my completed animated theme:

Thanks for taking the time to view my post. I hope you like my mixed media art project.
