Good evening my people, happy Tuesday for all those who read me here and welcome to a new drawing for my blog; today's drawing is a free theme work in which I wanted to mix a little bit the nature theme with some character and therefore I decided to create Sarelys. Here you can basically see a young girl whose name is Sarelys, which is a curious and adventurous researcher who is dedicated to explore places and very inhospitable places, she visits these places in order to find and even discover animals and creatures of all kinds for their research:
Buenas noches mi gente, feliz martes para todos los que me leen por aquí y sean bienvenidos a un nuevo dibujo para mi blog; la de hoy se trata de una obra a temática libre en la que quise mezclar un poco la temática de la naturaleza con algún personaje y por ello decidí crear a Sarelys. Aquí básicamente podrán apreciar a una joven chica cuyo nombre es Sarelys, la cual es una curiosa y aventurera investigadora que se dedica a explorar lugares y sitios muy inhóspitos, visita estos lugares con el propósito de encontrar e inclusive descubrir animales y criaturas de todo tipo para sus investigaciones:
PROCESS / PROCESO
The first thing for my drawing was to start sketching all my idea in a basic skeleton, I had the clear idea that I would create a female character, but I was not very clear at first what Sarelys would be contemplating; finally I chose to create a flying horse or (Dragonfly) as it is also known, floating in front of Sarelys while she admires it with deep surprise and fascination. After finishing with the sketch and the outline of my character I could concentrate well on what would be the painting of this, I decided to use a little saturated tones for the skin; for the clothes tones very close to dark tones, and a reddish orange for the hair.
Lo primero para mi dibujo fue comenzar a bocetar toda mi idea en un esqueleto básico, tenia la idea clara de que crearía un personaje femenino, pero no tenia muy claro al principio que es lo que estaría contemplando Sarelys; finalmente opte por crear un caballito volador o (Libélula) como también se conoce, flotando al frente de Sarelys mientras ella lo admira con profunda sorpresa y fascinación. Después de terminar con el boceto y el delineado de mi personaje ya pude concentrarme bien en lo que seria el pintado de este, decidí usar tonos un poco saturado para la piel; para la ropa tonos muy aproximados a los tonos oscuros, y un naranja rojizo para el cabello.
The creation of the volume is sometimes a somewhat complicated process, because there are different types of skin and here also intervene issues such as the age of the character and their sex; and in this case I focused on creating a slightly soft skin with the watercolor brush, with which I can make soft strokes and at the same time mix a little with very close tones. I worked all the skin with the watercolor brush, but varying a little the tonalities towards more intense tones; then I added some blush points to the cheeks with the airbrush, I also decided to use a shade of orange similar to the hair to create the bright eyes.
La creación del volumen en ocasiones es un proceso algo complicado, pues existen distintos tipos de piel y aquí también intervienen temas como la edad del personaje y su sexo; y en este caso me enfoque en crear una piel ligeramente suave con el pincel acuarela, con el cual puedo realizar trazos suaves y a la vez mezclar un poco con tonos muy cercanos. Trabajé toda la piel con el pincel acuarela, pero variando un poco las tonalidades hacia tonos más intensos; después añadí un poco de puntos de rubor a las mejillas con el aerógrafo, también decidí usar un tono de naranja similar al del pelo para crear los ojos brillantes.
The creation of the clothes of this character I wanted it to be something special, that is why I focused on creating a kind of dress slightly low-cut at the front, for this I first made use of a gray very close to the dark tones; then with watercolor and a pointed brush (V) I made long and thick strokes to get a good elegant texture. After the clothes I continued painting the hair and for this I made use of a very special brush that allows me to create open and thin lines at the same time, with which I make many long strokes to create the hair in a slightly disordered direction; this is how I achieve that realism to the hair that I like so much.
La creación de la ropa de este personaje quería que fuera algo especial, es por ello que me enfoque en crear una especie de vestido ligeramente escotado al frente, para esto primero hice uso de un gris muy aproximado a los tonos oscuros; luego con la acuarela y un pincel de punta (V) fui realizando trazos largos y gruesos para conseguir una buena textura elegante. Después de la ropa continúe pintando el cabello y para esto hice use de un pincel muy especial que me permite crear líneas abiertas y finas a la vez, con las cuales realizo muchos trazos largos para poder crear el pelo en una dirección ligeramente desordenada; así es como logro ese realismo al cabello que tanto me gusta.
The last step in the process of my work was the creation of the dragonfly in front of Sarelys, first I created the base body of the animal with a thin and flat brush, then in a new layer I created the wings and for this I had to use a very light yellow tone at very low opacity and I also had to lower the opacity of the layer to 70-65% so that the dragonfly's wings had that translucent appearance that characterizes its wings; an additional touch to the dragonfly was that I decided to add a slight reddish glow emanating from it. For the scenery I decided to create a kind of dark and gloomy cave where Sarelys must have gone into in order to find her.
El último paso en el proceso de mi obra fue el de la creación de la libélula frente a Sarelys, primero cree el cuerpo base del animal con un pincel fino y plano, luego en una nueva capa cree las alas y para esto tuve que usar un tono amarillo muy claro a muy baja opacidad y además debí bajarle la opacidad a la capa a un 70-65% para que las alas de la libélula tuvieran esa apariencia traslucida que caracteriza sus alas; un toque adicional a la libélula fue que decidí añadirle un leve brillo rojizo emanando de ella. Para el escenario decidí crear una especie de cueva oscura y lúgubre donde Sarelys debió adentrarse para así poder encontrarla.
