Heyy happy Tuesday my dear readers, happy start of the week for all of you and I hope you had a great weekend and above all that you had a full rest, I was a little busy during this weekend trying to finish a couple of works that I had pending from last week, and one of them is this one that I come to share with you today, this is my most recent participation for the weekly dynamics of the #Splinterlands community, this time I wanted to practice a little in the painting of weapons, daggers and that's why I decided to choose a character of the game that was something like a warrior or a warrior. I spent a long time looking at the cards and I found a very interesting character (JINI GUISE), which basically is a warrior who has spent much of her life traveling and learning everything possible in terms of combat; Jini is a girl of quiet appearance and above all very reserved, but when they dare to challenge her and even attack her is where the dangers hidden under her sleeves are revealed:
Heyy feliz Martes mis queridísimos lectores y lectoras, feliz inicio de semana para todos y espero que hayan pasado un grandioso fin de semana y sobre todo que hayan descansado full, yo estuve un poco ocupado durante este fin de semana que paso tratando de terminar un par de obra que me quedaron pendientes de la semana pasada, y una de ellas es esta que les vengo a compartir el día de hoy, se trata de mi mas reciente participación para la dinámica semanal de la comunidad de #Splinterlands, en esta ocasión quise practicar un poco en el pintado de armas, dagas y eso y por eso fue que me propuse elegir un personaje del juego que fuese algo así como una guerrero o una guerrera. Estuve un buen rato viendo las cartas y justamente me encontré con un personaje full interesante como lo es (JINI GUISE), la cual básicamente es una guerrera que ha pasado gran parte de su vida viajando y aprendiendo todo lo posible en cuanto a combate; Jini es una chica de apariencia tranquila y sobre todo muy reservada, pero cuando se atreven a desafiarla e incluso a atacarla es allí donde se revelan los peligros ocultos debajo de sus mangas:
In this case I wanted to convey for the character a little more mature essence, either in age and body build than what is seen in the letter, also in terms of clothing I wanted to play a little with the clothes and I was encouraged to create a very pirate style clothing with leather pants and a blouse with slightly loose sleeves in which you can easily hide their knives and daggers; for the choice of colors I wanted to do something very varied, that's why I chose a color from each of my favorite ranges, for the hair a medium bluish green, for the skin a sort of pinkish peach color, etc. I usually apply the strokes to the skin and then mix them with watercolor, but as I wanted to convey a very unique look for (JINI GUISE) I decided to better unite the colors of shadows and lights with the swab brush to achieve a somewhat softer but bright skin; in the case of the eyes I wanted to play a little with the orange and brown tones, I created the inner iris with most of the orange tones I had and then the pupil and the inner fibers I worked with brown.
En este caso quise transmitir para el personaje una esencia un poco más madura, ya sea en edad y contextura corporal de lo que se aprecia en la carta, además que en cuanto a vestimenta quise jugar un poco con las prendas y me anime a crear una ropa muy a estilo como de ropa pirata con un pantalón de cuero y una blusa de mangas levemente holgadas en las cuales fácilmente pueda esconder sus cuchillos y dagas; para la elección de colores quise hacer algo muy variado, es por ello que elegí un color de cada una de mis gamas favoritas, para el pelo un verde medio azulado, para la piel una especie de color durazno rosado, etc. Regularmente con la piel aplico los trazos y luego los mezclo con acuarela, pero como quería transmitir una apariencia bastante única para (JINI GUISE) pues decidí mejor unir mejor los colores de sombras y luces con el pincel de hisopo para así lograr una piel un tanto mas suave pero brillante; en el caso de los ojos quise jugar un poco con los tonos naranjas y marrones, cree el iris interno con la mayoría de tonos naranjas que tenia y luego la pupila y las fibras internas las trabaje con marrón.
For the 2nd step I dedicated myself exclusively to give shape to the clothes of the character, here as I mentioned before my idea was to create a kind of pirate-like outfit, then for the torso part I created a soft violet blouse using only my watercolor brush to achieve what would be the common folds and wrinkles in the soft fabric; then to give it a similar essence to that of the letter I decided to create a pattern of stars on the blouse with one of my Sai brushes and also applied the Shine layer effect to make them look a bit illuminated. In the case of the pants I worked the opaque brown colors to try to achieve a fabric like leather pants, here I applied flatter brushes and without so much texture, only a slight final touch with airbrush to give a little shine to the leather; taking advantage of the brown tones I decided to choose one similar to the one of the eyes to paint a small moran around her waist, this was more a personal touch of mine to give more complement to the clothes since in the letter only the high part of the body of (JINI GUISE) is appreciated.
Para el 2do paso me dedique exclusivamente a darle forma a la ropa del personaje, aquí como les mencione antes mi idea era crear una especie de atuendo como de pirata, entonces para la parte del torso cree una blusa de color violeta suave usando únicamente mi pincel de acuarela para lograr lo que serían los pliegues y arrugas comunes en la tela suave; luego para darle una esencia similar a la de la carta decidí crear un patrón de estrellas en la blusa con uno de mis pinceles de Sai y también aplique el efecto de capa Shine para que se vieran un poco iluminadas. En el caso del pantalón trabaje los colores marrones opacos para tratar de lograr una tela como de pantalón de cuero, aquí aplique pinceles mas planos y sin tanta textura, solo un leve toque final con aerógrafo para dar un poco de brillo al cuero; aprovechando los tonos marrones decidí escoger uno similar al de los ojos para pintar un pequeño moran alrededor de su cintura, esto fue más un toque personal mío para darle más complemento a la ropa ya que en la carta solo se aprecia la parte alta del cuerpo de (JINI GUISE).
For the painting of the hair I decided to try a blue-green or blue-green tones or whatever you prefer to call it hehehehehehehe, I wanted to achieve a fairly solid appearance in the hairstyle and that's why I worked with the watercolor brush with an opacity of 80%, I was creating a slightly wavy base and then in a new layer in clipping mode was working a little the internal relief of the hair with semi-circular strokes inward; later when the hair looked more or less with the structure that I wanted it was there where I started to give a little texture and realism to everything with some strands of hair varying a little the size and directions, with this what I wanted besides the realism was also to achieve a harmony and naturalness. In the fourth step I created what would be the knives and daggers in the hands of (JINI GUISE), for this I worked with the same range of gray-blue to give the feeling that all are forged from the same metal, mixing a little gray with light blue achieved the basic texture of the metal a little rough and once finished the basic shape of the knives was there where I used a flat brush to create a much more solid texture and of course more shiny like steel.
Para el pintado del cabello decidí probar un tonos verde-azulado o azul-verdoso o como prefieran llamarlo jejejejeje, quería logra una apariencia bastante solida en el peinado y es por eso que trabaje con el pincel acuarela con una opacidad del 80%, fui creando una base levemente ondulada y luego en una nueva capa en modo recorte fue trabajando un poco el relieve interno del pelo con trazos semi circulares hacia adentro; posteriormente cuando el pelo se veía mas o menos con la estructura que yo deseaba fue allí donde empecé a darle un poco de textura y realismo a todo con algunos mechones de pelo variando un poco el tamaño y las direcciones, con esto lo que yo quería además del realismo era también lograr una armonía y naturalidad. En el cuarto paso cree lo que serian los cuchillos y dagas en las manos de (JINI GUISE), para esto trabaje con una misma gama de grises-azulados para dar la sensación de que todas están forjadas del mismo metal, mezclando un poco los grises con los azules claros logra la textura básica del metal un tanto rugosa y una vez terminada la forma básica de los cuchillos fue allí donde use un pincel plano para crear una textura mucho mas solidad y por supuesto mas brillante como el acero.
With the background I came up with the idea of working thinking that the story of (JINI GUISE) takes place on a road or forest path covered by many bushes, so to achieve this the first thing I did was to take one of the green tones of my color palette and go building many bushes in the background area so that the scenario was gaining a little perspective of depth; then with much patience I was creating bushes by bush clarifying a little green tones as I approached the character. I wanted to complement the path with some rain clouds in the sky with my rough brush, and I also created a last layer of bushes, but this time in the front part of the canvas, to give a little more real feeling that (JINI GUISE) is coming out of surprise from the forest; and finally I noticed that the weapons could look a little brighter and sharper, that's why I created a layer in (bright) mode and created some lines on the edges of the knives, plus a little glow because of the reflection of the light on the metal.
Con el fondo se me ocurrió la idea de trabajar pensando que la historia de (JINI GUISE) se desarrolla en un camino o sendero de bosque cubierto por muchos arbustos, entonces para lograr esto lo primero que hice fue tomar uno de los tonos verdes de mi paleta de colores e ir construyendo muchos arbustos en la zona del background de modo que el escenario fuese cobrando un poco de perspectiva de profundidad; luego con mucha paciencia fui creando arbustos por arbusto aclarando un poco los tonos verdes a medida que me acercara al personaje. Quise complementar un poco el sendero con algunas nubes de lluvia en el cielo con mi pincel rugoso, y también cree una ultima capa de arbustos, pero esta vez en la parte frontal del lienzo, para así dar un poco la sensación mas real de que (JINI GUISE) esta saliendo de sorpresa del bosque; ya por último noté que las armas podían verse un poco mas brillantes y filosas, es por eso que cree una capa en modo (bright) y cree algunas líneas en los bordes de los cuchillos, además de un pequeño resplandor a causa del reflejo del la luz en el metal.
