Good morning my dear readers of the #Hive community, I hope you had a great weekend, and that like me you were able to recharge your batteries, as many of you already know, I'm Manuel and this is my blog where I share all my artistic creations. This time I wanted to start my week bringing you my most recent entry for the ongoing dynamic of my dear people from the #Splinterlands community in which we choose characters from their game to draw or represent them artistically. This time I wanted to go for the theme of magical characters and among the various cards I came across this one called (Chaos Evoker), which basically are creatures that handle very well the art of magic and sorcery, and specialize in spells that concentrate a lot of destructive fire, which destroys almost everything in its path:
Muy buenos días mis queridos lectores y lectoras de la comunidad de #Hive, espero que hayan pasado un fabuloso fin de semana, y que al igual que yo hayan podido recargar a full las baterías, como muchas ya lo sabrán, yo soy Manuel y este es mi blog donde comparto todas mis creaciones artísticas. En esta oportunidad quise empezar mi semana trayéndoles mi mas reciente entrada para la dinámica en curso de mi querida gente de la comunidad de #Splinterlands en la que escogemos personajes de su juego para dibujarlos o representarlos artísticamente. En esta ocasión quise irme por la temática de los personajes mágicos y entre las varias cartas que hay me topé con esta llamada (Chaos Evoker), que básicamente son criaturas que manejan muy bien el arte de la magia y la hechicería, y se especializan en conjuros que concentran gran cantidad de fuego destructor, el cual arrasa con casi todo a su paso:

I started my sketch giving her (Chaos Evoker) a look more appropriate to my illustration style, I drew her with a slightly younger appearance than as seen in the card, but respecting the characteristic features. In the inking process I like to take my time to look for good colors, in this case as the character would be related to fire, I opted for a more saturated color palette; I started with the skin work with softer brushes, with airbrush and watercolor I was giving the basic shape of the volume to the cheeks, nose, forehead and other visible areas, then a harder brush I was placing the firmer shadows and occlusion leftovers in the neck and under the cape.
Empecé mi boceto dándole a (Chaos Evoker) una apariencia mas adecuada a mi estilo de ilustración, la dibujé con una apariencia levemente mas joven que como se aprecia en la carta, pero respetando los rasgos característicos. En el proceso de entintado me gusta tomarme mi tiempo para buscar buenos colores que en este caso como el personaje estaría relacionado con el fuego pues opte por una paleta de colores mas saturada; empecé con el trabajo de piel con pinceles más suaves, con aerógrafo y acuarela fui dando la forma básica del volumen a las majillas, nariz, frente y demás zonas visibles, luego un pincel mas duro fui colocando las sombras más firmes y sobras de oclusión en el cuello y debajo de la capa.
For the work of the eyes I used 2 predominant tones, red and yellow, with the red I created the base of the eyes giving them a certain oval shape, then with the yellow I created the iris and the internal pupil with a lot of patience and using only fine brushes; when I finished with the eyes I moved to the creation of the lips, here I used more orange tones to achieve a natural transition with the skin, and with my fine brush I tried to outline a smile on his mouth. Finished with the face I continued with the clothes of (Chaos Evoker), in the case of the torso I used gray tones to create a kind of elegant and metallic armor, and with the yellow tones I created some golden details in the edges; as an additional press I took a dark brown and created a thin and transparent fabric that covered his arms and the lower part of his torso.
Para el trabajo de los ojos use 2 tonos predominantes, el rojo y el amarillo, con el rojo plasme la base de los ojos dándoles cierta forma ovalada, luego con los amarillos fui creando el iris y la pupila interna con mucha paciencia y usando solo pinceles finos; al terminar con los ojos me pase a la creación de los labios, aquí si use tonos más naranjas para lograr una transición natural con la piel, y con mi pincel fino trate de esbozar una sonrisa en su boca. Terminado el rostro continúe con la ropa de (Chaos Evoker), en el caso del torso use tonos grises para crear una especie de armadura elegante y metálica, y con los tonos amarillos cree algunos detalles dorados en los bordes; como prensa adicional tome un marrón oscuro y cree una tela delgada y transparente que cubriese sus brazos y la parte baja de su torso.
To create the staff I took some brown, orange and yellow tones as a base, my idea is that the main structure was like a coppery metal with shiny details, then for the tip of the staff I took some red tones to create 2 horns with a reddish crystal appearance. In the case of the scenery I wanted to set my illustration as if the character was in a mountainous place with many rocks around, for this I used greens and browns to give the stones the texture I wanted; then with red, yellow and orange tones I created big flames all over the background of the work and also around (Chaos Evoker), and finally with my watercolor brush I placed a thin flame wrapping the character and lightly illuminate his eyes with the heat of the fire.
Para crear el báculo tome algunos tonos marrones, naranjas y amarillos como base, mi idea es que la estructura principal fuese como de un metal cobrizo con detalles brillantes, luego para punta del báculo tome algunos tonos rojos para crear 2 cuernos con apariencia como de cristal rojizo. En el caso del escenario quise ambientar mi ilustración como si el personaje estuviese en un lugar montañoso con muchas rocas alrededor, para ello use verdes y marrones que le dieran a las piedras la textura que yo quería; después con tonos rojos, amarillos y naranjas cree grandes llamaradas por todo el fondo de la obra y también alrededor de (Chaos Evoker), y finalmente con mi pincel acuarela coloque una delgada flama arropando al personaje e ilumine levemente sus ojos con el calor del fuego.
