It's been a while since my last blog here on hive but now I finally made a very cool digital drawing that I want to share with you.

This is my first digital art portrait in the style of surrealism.

This whole year I have been really focused in this type of surreal art. I think this is my favorite movement in the history of art, because it resonates with me in a deeper level, the dream-like aesthetics and my inspiration that comes from the subconscious realm of the human experience.
This is pure art without any filters, sometimes I feel like I'm using art as a therapy in a way, and it really works.

Process

I'm using two apps lately for art , one is "autodesk sketchbook" and the other is called "infinite painter" both are for android.
I started doing the usual portrait creating a head and then after the sketch I put the roses coming out of the eye sockets and finally I put some details.

First I tried with a filter called Picasso but it wasn't what I expected because it loses a lot of color as you can see.
But that's the beauty of art ( specially digital art )it's all about trial and error, so it's all good.

Surrealist art often features unexpected juxtapositions, in this case the roses are growing inside the head. The character is lifeless and it looks almost like an alien
