Another digital landscape with Sai2, I'm trying to keep a same style, this was inspired in two things, firstly on images of Mars taken by the Rover, many of them, when taken with multiple cameras, have like a fisheye effect because they capture more degrees, so I wanted to create same distortion. The other reference was the cube from the Stanley Kubrick movie, 2001: A Space Odyssey.

This drawing has many messages, meanings: loneliness, waiting, longing, despair, hope, desire, homeless...but always depends on the viewer.

Let's see the process~.

Step by step

I started digitally with the composition and basic colors, I used similar of Rover's photos for same desert surface and atmosphere. I used lines as guide for a better perspective, this is my first time making this effect so was a little nervous of how can I finish it.

Then was start with the landscape, defining the bottom and floor shapes, this was crucial to obtain the effect I really wanted, so I had to draw the surface making like a circle with my brush so main elements stayed in the middle of the composition . When I colored my OC I changed the perspective of him by accident so I had to redraw it in next steps.

Here I detailed the cube and its content.

Then I edited my OC with a better perspective. I added texture details with airbrush, this tool I didn't use it before in my last digital landscapes but was very useful this time, it let me achieve almost what I wanted after I tried with many tools.

The blurring of the mountains in the background was achieved with water an landscape's detail was with airbrush mainly. I edited the color of cube for a deeper result, as dark as space. And I drew my OC with a anime style.

To finish I cleaned sketch lines and added final details.
I improve his clothes, some colors and added his helmet. This drawing can be like futuristic so I drew him with simple but "smart" clothes, as I imagine them can be in the future, simple but efficient and comfortable.

This is another version of my drawing, this is not my favourite but has something special that I liked.

Hola Hivers~

Otro paisaje en digital con Sai2, estoy intenta do mantener mismo estilo, este está inspirado en dos cosas, principalmente en las imágenes de Marte tomadas por El Rover, muchas de ellas como son tomadas con múltiples cámaras tienen un efecto como de ojo de pez porque capturan más grados, así que yo quería crear esa misma distorsión.
La otra referencia fue el cubo de la película de Stanley Kubrick, 2001: A Space Odyssey (Una Odisea en el Espacio).

Este dibujo tiene muchos mensajes, significados: soledad, espera, nostalgia, desesperanza, esperanza, deseo, sin casa, aceptación... pero siempre depende del espectador.

Veamos el proceso~.

Paso a paso

Empecé digitalmente con la composición y los colores básicos, usé similares a las fotos del Rover para tener la misma superficie desértica y atmósfera. Usé líneas como guía para una mejor perspectiva, esta es mi primera vez haciendo este efecto así que estaba aún poco nerviosa de cómo podía terminarlo.

Luego fue empezar con el paisaje, definiendo las partes de atrás y del suelo, esto fue crucial para obtener el efecto que realmente quería, así que tuve que dibujar la superficie haciendo como un círculo con mi brocha y así los objetos principales quedaban en el medio de la composición. Cuando coloreé mi OC cambié sin querer la perspectiva de él así que tuve que redibujarlo en los siguientes pasos.

Aquí detalle el cubo y su contenido.

Luego edité my OC con una mejor perspectiva. Añadí detalles de texturas con el aerógrafo, está herramienta no la había usado anteriormente en mis últimos paisajes digitales pero fue muy útil en esta ocasión, me permitió casi lograr lo que quería después de intentar con muchas herramientas.

El desenfoque de las montañas en el fondo fue logrado con Al Agua, y los detalles del paisaje con el aerógrafo principalmente. Edité el color del cubo pars un resultado más profundo, tan oscuro como el espac.io. Y dibujé mi OC con estilo Anime

Para finalizar limpié las líneas y añadí los detalles finales. Mejoré su ropa, algunos colores y añadí su casco. Este dibujo puede ser como futurista así que lo dibujé con ropas sencillas peros "inteligentes" como me imagino que sería en el futuro, simple pero eficiente y cómodo.

Esta es otra versión de mi dibujo, esta no es .k favorita pero tiene algo especial que me gustó.
