I have always liked the simulation hypothesis ... it is a theory that, for me, comes from the psychedelic culture of the 70's, such as the Simulation Theory by Terence McKenna, or even the theory of reality described in the beautiful "The Schrödinger's Cat Trilogy" by Robert Anton Wilson.
Even more current philosophers like Nick Bostrom have posed this kind of question with his very interesting "Simulation hypothesis".
this last hypothesis has led several scientists to verify if it was correct...
so if this hypothesis was correct we can suppose that there is an intelligence that programs what we consider reality
