Along the Pembrook, a babbling creek that wends its way through the heart of the Maywaren Forest, there lives a creature so beautiful that a single look can drive one mad with desire.
Long hair. Full lips. Perfect skin. She is queen of the river nymphs and a guardian of the ley lines and boundary between the Fey Plane and the Splinterlands, defending her charge from interlopers seeking to harness the secrets and magic of the fey for their own purpose. With her intoxicating water magic, she can bewitch and beguile others to do her will or call upon the fey to fight for her cause.
Despite the boasts and jests passed around in taverns, the locals steer well clear of the Pembrook. Travelers passing through are warned to do the same. Most take heed, but a handful ignore these warnings, believing their will and their wits strong enough to resist the fey’s charms. The majority come back with nothing to show for their efforts. However, every now and then, some unfortunate soul will return, babbling incoherently or spouting nonsensical poetry about passion and beauty and nature. Link

Hola gente bonita! Espero estén super bien todos y si no lo están, pronto lo estarán! Les traigo nuevamente un dibujo para el concurso de arte de @Splinterlands y esta vez escogí la carta de Pembrook Nymph, ya que me pareció super interesante el personaje y pues bueno, les comparto mi versión.
I started making the sketch little by little, since I was seeing what things I could do to this drawing, that is to say; how I could integrate to my style everything that would be the character itself, since with this drawing I wanted to achieve it, even if it was half body, since I had been drawing portraits lately.
Comencé haciendo le boceto poco a poco, ya que andaba viendo que cosas podría hacerle a este dibujo, o sea; como podía integrar a mi estilo todo lo que vendría siendo el personaje en sí, ya que con este dibujo quería lograr hacerlo, aunque sea a medio cuerpo, puesto a que venia dibujando últimamente retratos.

I feel that I managed to capture the essence of the original character in my version and the sketch was too good, I really loved it, but I had to continue to work on the color. I took the color palette from the same character, as usual, only the skin color changes, in the original character it is in a green tone and the truth is horrible in my opinion, so I went for a tone that I would normally use for the skin and the rest of the color palette I took it as a reference and I worked on it little by little.
Siento que logré captar la esencia del personaje original en mi versión y el boceto me quedo demasiado bueno, lo ame de verdad, pero tenia que seguir para trabajar el color. La paleta de color la tome del mismo personaje, como es de costumbre, solamente cambia el color de piel que en el personaje original es en un tono verde y la verdad, es horrible a mi parecer, así que me fui por un tono que yo usaría normalmente para la piel y ya el resto de la paleta de color la tome como referencia y fui trabajándola poco a poco.

Something I am going to say about this drawing, is that I completely forgot about the black line art, I am trying and experimenting with my last drawings and the truth is that one of the things that I have been applying to my last works, is not to use so much the black line art, but rather to make it different. I mean to use a line art that is more subtle or that combines with areas of color that I am painting. In short, use a colored line art and I'm really liking it a lot.
Algo que voy a decir de este dibujo, es que me olvide por completo del line art negro, ando probando y experimentando con mis últimos dibujos y la verdad que una de las cosas que he venido aplicando a mis últimos trabajos, es no usar tanto el line art negro, sino mas bien hacerlo diferente. Me refiero a usar un line art que sea mas sutil o que combine con zonas de color que este pintando. En pocas palabras, usar un line art de color y la verdad me esta gustando mucho.

After the color work with the watercolors, I made a couple of details with wood colors and added some white glitters and that's it, this illustration is finished.
Luego del trabajo de color con las acuarelas, hice un par de detalles con colores de madera y agrego algunos brillos en blanco y listo, daríamos por terminada esta ilustración.
