This week I took Thaddius Brood's card as a reference, since I loved it so much and it was perfect to make it in my style. I just took this entry for the art contest very personal, because I wanted to do something well done and more worked, since I'm working on my new portfolio and I want to have good illustrations for it. Esta semana tome como referencia la carta de Thaddius Brood, ya que me encanto demasiado y era perfecta para hacerla a mi estilo. Simplemente esta participacion para el concurso de arte me tome muy personal, ya que quería hacer algo bien hecho y mas trabajado, ya que ando trabajando en armar mi nuevo portafolios y quiero tener buenas ilustraciones para ello. Espero les guste mi ilustración para el concurso de arte amigos.
As usual in me, I started doing the sketch in traditional, as it makes me more comfortable, I have not been able to move away from the traditional one even though I've been drawing in digital for almost two years, it is still hard for me to let go of the traditional one 100% and I always start doing the sketches on paper hehehehe.
Como es costumbre en mi, comencé haciendo el boceto en tradicional, ya que se me hace mas cómodo, no me podido apartarme del todo del tradicional a pesar que llevo casi dos años dibujando en digital, aun me cuesta soltar el tradicional al 100% y siempre comienzo a hacer los bocetos en papel jejeje.
When I have the sketch of the character ready, what I do is to pass it to Clip Studio Paint to work it better and correct certain things in it. Basically what I do is to leave the sketch ready to work on the color. I must say that I always try to draw things out of the ordinary, but I always go back to where I'm happy and that's drawing faces, call me basic, but it's what I like and it makes me happy to draw. Cuando he tenido el boceto del personaje listo, lo que hago es pasarlo al Clip Studio Paint para trabajarlo mejor y corregir ciertas cosas en el mismo. Básicamente lo que hago es dejar el boceto listo para trabajar el color. Debo decir que siempre trato de dibujar cosas fuero de lo común para, pero siempre vuelvo a donde soy feliz y eso es dibujar rostros, llámenme básico, pero es lo que a mi me gusta y me hace feliz dibujar. Perdón por no llenar tus expectativas, pero tengo que ser feliz haciendo lo que me gusta.

After that little speech, I add the color in the drawing. I start adding a base color in the whole drawing, and then I add each color in each element of the illustration, so I leave the whole drawing with base colors and then I start detailing everything. I always start detailing the face before everything else and this time I wanted to work the whole illustration without adding line art, so I had to define very well each zone in the drawing.
Luego de ese pequeño discurso, paso a agregar el color en el dibujo. Comienzo agregando un color base en todo el dibujo, para luego ir agregando cada color en cada elemento de la ilustración, para así dejar todo el dibujo con colores bases y así pasar a detallar todo. Siempre comienzo detallando la cara antes que todo y esta vez quise trabajar toda la ilustración sin agregar line art, así que tuve que definir muy bien cada zona en el dibujo.

After working on the face, I detail the hair and then the other elements. It is a work that takes a lot of time, since I have to leave well defined each zone of the drawing so that it is seen and understood well. Something that cost me a bit to do was the bird skull that has the character and I don't know why? since in my mind it was the easiest to detail, but it was the opposite hahaha.
Luego de trabajar el rostro, paso a detallar el cabello y luego los demás elementos. Es un trabajo que lleva bastante tiempo, ya que tengo que dejar bien definido cada zona del dibujo para que se vea y se entienda bien. Algo que me costo un poco hacer fue el cráneo de pájaro que tiene el personaje y no se por que? Ya que en mi mente era la mas fácil de detallar, pero fue todo lo contrario jajaja.

Finally what I do is to add the last final details in the illustration, like adding some more shadows, lights, adjusting the color and so on. I finish the illustration adding the final glows and a little bit of shadows in the background and that's it folks, that would be it. I love this illustration too much.
Por ultimo lo que hago es agregar los últimos detalles finales en la ilustración, como agregar un poco mas de sombras, luces, ajustar el color y demás. Termino la ilustración agregando los brillos finales y un poco de sombrado en el fondo y listo amigos, eso seria todo. Me encanto demasiado esta ilustración.
