Cats had always been a mystery to me, all my life I have had pet dogs, until just 1 and a bit that my wife brought home three baby cats that she rescued from the street, two of them didn't make it but one of them the most enterprising and playful survived.
That is our kitty Pituky who taught me to love cats, which are very misunderstood animals, many have been mistreated, some people have all kinds of prejudices with them. But I have learned that they are animals with personality, affectionate and very intelligent.
As in the group of friends of Hive we always talk about our cats I am going to dedicate this painting to those animals and my friends of the group of veterans of Hive 😂😂😂😂
I started with a pencil making a guide drawing to be able to paint with a clearer vision.
I thought of doing something with high contrast and with a rather low range leaving only the light that will cut out the cat as the main figure.
With black acrylic I painted the feline figure, and without filling it completely I gave some values to dry brush all around, curtains, window, wall and plants.
With the white I illuminated all the background so that the little animal would stand out, creating in the center the maximum contrast.
Then I also put some white on the wall in the tail area.
And it was time for the oil pastels (oil on sticks)
Illumination in color of the different textures of the elements, then some extra details in black and that's it!

Los gatos siempre habÃa sido un misterio para mÃ, toda la vida he tenido perros de mascotas, hasta apenas 1 y un poco que mi esposa trajo a la casa tres bebés gaticos que rescató de la calle, dos de ellos no lo lograron pero una la más inteprida y juguetona sobrevivió.
Esa es nuestra gatica Pituky que fue quién me enseñó a amar a los gatos , que son animales muy incomprendidos, muchos han sido maltratos, algunas personas tienen todas clase de prejuicios con ellos. Pero he aprendido que son animales con personalidad , cariñosos y de mucha inteligencia.
Como en el grupo de amigos de Hive siempre hablamos de nuestros gatos les voy a dedicar esta pintura a esos animalitos y mis amigos de grupo de veteranos de Hive 😂😂😂😂
Empecé con un lápiz haciendo el dibujo de guÃa para poder pintar con una visión más clara
Pensé en hacer algo a alto contraste y con una gama más bien baja, dejando solo la luz, que recortará al gato como figura principal.
Con acrÃlico negro pinte la figura felina, y sin llegar a rellenar del todo le fui dando unos valores a pincel seco a todo alrededor , cortinas , ventana , muro y plantas.
Con el blanco le ilumine todo el fondo para que el animalito destacará, creando en el centro el máximo contraste.
Luego también puse algo de blanco en el muro en la zona de la cola.
Y llegó la hora de los oil pastel (óleo en barras)
Iluminación en color de las diferentes texturas de los elementos, luego algunos detalles extra en negro y ya está!
