Ein verfallenes Radio-Observatorium, verloren tief im Wald, wo sich die Bäume Geheimnisse flüstern und etwas, das außer Sichtweite lauert und von dem niemand genau weiß was es ist. Sind es Außerirdische, die durch die Schatten schleichen, oder spielt uns die Nacht selbst einen Streich? Bleib dran, denn was auch immer sich in diesem unheimlichen, jenseitigen Albtraum zusammenbraut, es könnte dich bis weit nach Mitternacht wach halten!

Every now and then, my wife and I indulge in an X-Files marathon. That means we then watch as many episodes as possible.
One of us usually falls asleep after about 20 episodes. If this happens to me, it's usually because of sitting still too long. My brain gets completely underloaded when watching movies.
However, when we continued our X-Files marathon a few weeks ago, I was prepared this time - I took my graphics tablet with me into the living room. I thought I could at least doodle a little on it. However, I didn't believe that I would be able to use it productively while watching TV.
In one of the episodes we watched that evening, Mulder was on the trail of aliens again. Inspired by the exciting story and the outstandingly cinematographically designed scenes, something soon happened on my graphics tablet too.
After a while, this time my wife fell asleep during our marathon. I carefully took the glasses off her little nose and then covered her up. Tiptoeing into my working room, I immediately went to my PC. A tablet is also a computer, but a PC is a computer-computer at least for a computer nerd from the 70th/80th, like I am one.
After a seemingly endless 2 seconds of booting, I rushed to load the Blender file from the tablet onto the computer and started modelling an arranging as if obsessed with this adventure.
It was a lot of fun to play an X-Files director myself. :-)
Über mein Bild
Hin und wieder, legen meine Frau und ich einen Akte-X Marathon ein. Dann schauen wir immer so viele Folgen wie nur möglich.
Meist schläft einer von uns nach etwa 20 Folgen ein. Wenn mir das passiert, liegt das, für gewöhnlich an der ewigen Stillsitzerei. Mein Hirn ist beim Schauen eines Filmes schnell völlig unterfordert.
Als wir unseren Akte-X Marathon vor ein paar Wochen fortsetzten, war ich jedoch dieses Mal gewappnet - Ich nahm mein Grafik-Tablett mit ins Wohnzimmer. Darauf konnte ich zumindest ein Wenig herum kritzeln. An eine produktive Nutzung während des Fernseh-Konsums, glaubt ich da jedoch noch nicht.
In einer der Folgen, die wir an diesem Abend schauten, war Mulder wieder Außerirdischen auf der Spur. Beflügelt von der spannenden Geschichte und den kinematografisch brilliant gestalteten Szenen, tat sich auch bald etwas auf meinem Grafik-Tablett.
Nach einiger Zeit, schlief dieses Mal meine Frau während unseres Marathons ein. Vorsichtig nahm ich ihr die Brille vom Näschen und deckte sie zu. Dann trieb es mich, auf Zehenspitzen, sofort in mein Arbeitszimmer, an den PC. Ein Tablett ist zwar auch ein Computer, aber ein PC ist ein Computer-Computer, für einen Computer-Nerd aus den 70ern/80ern, wie ja ich einer bin.
Nach schier unendlichen 2 Sekunden des Hochfahrens, lud ich flicks die Blender-Datei vom Tablett auf den Rechner und legte los, wie von diesem Abenteuer besessen, zu modellieren und zu arrangieren.
Es machte recht viel Spaß, selbst auch einmal Akte-X Regisseur zu spielen. :-)
Creation
I made the entire scene in Blender 3D and then did the finishing touches in GIMP.
Most of it is modeled by-myself, except for the door in the house, the windows, the concrete barriers on the path, the grass textures and a few of the trees.
Erstellung
Ich habe die komplette Szene in Blender 3D gemacht und anschließend in GIMP die letzten Schliffe daran durchgeführt.
Das meiste ist selbstmodeliert, abgesehen von der Türe im Haus, die Fenster, die Beton-Poller auf dem Weg, die Gras-Texturen und ein paar der Bäume.
