It's Sunday night as I poke this message with a single finger into my phone. My wife and I were in bed before 9:00 P.M.tonight! (But there are reasons...)
We had our granddaughter stay over with us last night, and although she's a BUZZING BEEHIVE of fun and enegry, us oldfolks have a hard time keeping up with her. We "slept" in the livingroom, the baby on a mattress on the floor, Mariah and I on the couch, and even though the baby crashed through the night (she woke up at 6 A.M. this morning), neither Mariah nor I slept well... Between the cats crawling and scratching us all night, the baby flipping and flopping in her sleep (she flopped halfway off the mattress two or three times without waking), and my general inability to sleep well, it ended up being a less than restful night. Still happy she stayed over. We colored and danced and I printed off a bunch of photos and made her a little photo album (mostly cardstock and packing tape to keep it water and tear proof), and all that jazz...
And we madd some arts this weekend... Here's a few pieces that I put together...
The baby might have helped a little bit with that last one. (She added the stickers!)
And Felicity is even doing MOSTLY her own pieces now, too! (Mariah and I helped a tiny bit on these, but they're mostly by her---all on her lonesome!)
