Greetings friends I hope you are very well!
Today I want to share with you a request that a friend of mine made me, she made it clear that it should not be very anime style, but that it should be understood that it was her.
To understand her better I showed her other drawings I did in the past where I try to combine the style of oil painting, but in digital and giving it that touch of comic or anime.
she really liked the idea and left me a photo as a reference to create her character, lately I was very focused on anime, I will try to see if I can still do other types of art hehe.
I made several prototypes of drawing and design of her character but I don't have permission to publish them and being a commission my friend has the rights, what they did give me permission is to show you the experience I had designing and completing the main work.
This character, I created, will have a comic later on, XD I hope I really liked the result and I will be happy to work on it.
Although it won't be for all ages " if you know what I'm talking about don't you?", I promise to show you part of what will be done or at least what can be shown.

Saludos amigos espero estén muy bien!
Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes un pedido que me hizo una amiga, ella me dejó claro que no debía ser muy estilo medio anime, pero que se entienda que era ella.
Para entenderla mejor le mostré otros dibujos que hice en el pasado donde trato de combinar el estilo de pintura al óleo, pero en digital y dándole ese toque de comic o anime.
la verdad le gusto mucho la idea y me dejo una foto como referencia para crear su personaje, últimamente estuve muy enfocado en el anime, intentaré ver si aun puedo hacer otros tipos de arte jeje.
Hice varios prototipos de dibujo y diseño de su personaje pero no tengo permiso para publicarlos y al ser una comisión los derechos los tiene mi amiga, lo que si me dieron permiso es de mostrarles la experiencia que tuve al diseñar y completar la obra principal.
Este personaje, creó, tendrá un comic mas adelante, XD espero que si me gusto mucho el resultado y estaré feliz de trabajar en ello.
Aunque no sera para todas las edades " si saben de lo que hablo no?", prometo mostrarles parte de lo que se haga o al menos de lo que se pueda mostrar.

Process/Proceso
Before making this sketch I made many tests, quick sketches of how the character would be also in other poses, some directed to the future project to see what the client thought.
We didn't discard all the ideas but at the moment this was the one we liked the most and we developed a more stylized illustration of her.
To achieve a good resemblance "to my criteria" I used the reference image in small size to verify quickly to make something acceptable.
This was the result of the sketch.
Antes de hacer este boceto realice muchas pruebas, bocetos rápidos de como seria el personaje tambien en otras poses algún dirigido al futuro proyecto a ver que le parecía al cliente.
No descartamos todas las ideas pero de momento esta fue la que mas agrado y desarrollamos una ilustración más estilizada de ella.
Para lograr un buen parecido "a mi criterio" use la imagen de referencia en pequeño y poder verificar rápidamente de hacer algo aceptable.
Este fue el resultado del boceto.
I explain the lineart apart because here I had to do it several times, some brushes gave me very thick lines giving it a more comic or cartoon style.
But the client didn't want something like that, so I decided to do it with the same brush with which I do the anime style drawings but leaving the lines very thin.
This brush has texture and a little bit of transparency that gives a certain color tone to the line once we apply the base color.
Explico el lineart aparte porque aqui tuve que hacerlo varias veces, algunos pinceles me daban lineas muy gruesas dándole un estilo mas comic o cartoon.
Pero el cliente no quería algo asi, por eso decidí hacerlo con el mismo pincel con el que hago los dibujos estilo anime pero dejando las líneas muy delgadas.
Este pincel tiene textura y un poco de transparencia que le da cierto tono de color a la linea una vez apliquemos el color base.
We apply the base color with a not so saturated palette. For the kiss mark on the flannel I used a kiss brush that I downloaded from clipstudio.
At first I thought about doing it manually but I was lucky to find it, and I think it looks great.
Aplicamos el color base con una paleta no tan saturada. para la marca de beso que tiene en la franela use un pincel de besos que descargue de la página de clipstudio.
En un inicio pensé en hacerlo manualmente pero tuve suerte de encontrarlo, y pienso que esta genial el resultado.
After finishing the background, we can do the skin of the character.
here is a change I made and I explain it.
I wanted to do a more oil style where you can see the brush strokes so to speak but the client wanted a "soft" style so we blurred all the skin and retouched with more solid colors.
Money is right... I mean the client xD " little joke"
when we finished the skin we did the lips we decided to use a natural looking tone for this.
Despues de terminar el fondo, podemos hacer la piel del personaje.
aqui un cambio que hice y lo explico.
Quería hacer un estilo mas al oleo donde se vean las pinceladas por asi decirlo pero el cliente quería un estilo " suave" así que difuminamos toda la piel y retocamos con mas colores sólidos.
El dinero tiene la razón... digo el cliente xD " pequeño chiste"
al terminar la piel hacemos los labios decidimos usar un tono que se vea natural para esto.

about the hair was one of the parts that took me more time, I couldn't find the color I was looking for. in the end I left this tone or rather this variety of tones.
I think that in future versions we will have to simplify the character.
La ropa no tiene mucho misterio, en este caso el que queden sombras sin difuminar dan el efecto de profundidad que se ve en la ropa.
sobre el cabello fue de las partes que mas tiempo me llevo, no daba con el color que estaba buscando. al final deje este tono o mejor dicho esta variedad de tonos.
creo que en versiones futuras deberemos simplificar el personaje.
Giving the final details.
The eyes, the most important part of every character, I wanted to give him a happy look, we also highlighted the eyelashes very important because that lineart brush does not darken as much as for that area of the eyes.
I still think that we should make a more simplified version because in the future I think we will draw him in several poses and in a very continuous way. Everything is up to the client.

Dando los detalles finales.
Los ojos la parte mas importante de todo personaje quise darle una mirada alegre, también resaltamos las pestañas muy importantes porque ese pincel de lineart no oscurece tanto como para esa zona de los ojos.
sigo pensando que deberíamos hacer una versión mas simplificada pues en un futuro creo que lo dibujaremos en varias poses y de forma muy seguida. Todo queda en el cliente.
