PREQUEL

This whole conversation made me think. I have some paintings in my past that had been gone long ago, and all I have from them are some scans of analog photos I had taken back then. I feel now that I would want to repaint them, perhaps even in a larger format than the original one. Like, I am doing that currently with one of my "lost" drawings where only a very poor photo exists.
There would be some changes of course, to keep it interesting. The worse thing that could happen is that I get bored with just the process, so there has to be something new and exciting to keep me going. So perhaps I will tackle that as a future project.

Hey Arnold, I was just wondering ...... ?

acrylic on canvas - 1976 - 20x28 inches - 51 x 71 cm
prints available at my Pixels Store
I think everyone would recognize that image, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Pumping Iron. The ape looks contemplating but rather disinterested.
One of recurring images in my paintings from that time is a “grandfather” figure - I associate with this my own grandfather who was a large influence in my life when I was a young boy. What I am as a artist today, I have him to thank for.

Changing the subject again, here are a few more photos from Daniel's Studio. The 'clutter' of his worktable resembles mine, lol.

Daniel is the son of the late Ernst Fuchs who used to be a inspiration to my work. I had the pleasure of being Ernst Fuchs studio neighbor for a few years at the Palais Palffy in Vienna.
