This time, I want to share with you my experience participating in the Splinterlands art contest. As a digital artist, I'm always looking for new ways to express myself through my work, and this contest seemed like an excellent opportunity to challenge myself and create something really stunning.

I decided to choose the "Immortalis" character to make my fanart. I found this character fascinating from the beginning, and I knew it had the potential to create a truly unique piece. However, this time I decided to change my drawing technique and use the grayscale technique and then apply color to the artwork.

I must admit I was a little nervous at first. It had been a while since I had used this technique, and I didn't know how it would turn out. But in the end, I trusted the process and my ability as an artist. I knew I wanted to create a work that would make an impact and leave everyone impressed.

What I liked most about this technique was the way it allowed me to play with light and shadow. It was quite a challenge, but I managed to create a piece with a range of grays that allowed the details and texture of the character to stand out.

Of course, I also made some changes to the original character. I removed part of his clothing and left his torso uncovered to give it a more dramatic and attractive touch. Also, I added some additional details to emphasize the character's immortality and power.

Overall, I'm very satisfied with the result of my "Immortalis" fanart. I hope you like it as much as I liked creating it. En esta ocasión, quiero compartir con ustedes mi experiencia al participar en el concurso de arte de Splinterlands. Como artista digital, siempre estoy buscando nuevas formas de expresarme a través de mi trabajo, y este concurso me pareció una excelente oportunidad para desafiarme a mí mismo y crear algo realmente impactante.

Decidí elegir el personaje de "Immortalis" para realizar mi fanart. Este personaje me pareció fascinante desde el principio, y sabía que tenía el potencial para crear una pieza verdaderamente única. Sin embargo, esta vez decidí cambiar mi técnica de dibujo y usar la técnica de escala de grises para luego aplicar color a la obra.

Debo admitir que estaba un poco nervioso al principio. Hacía tiempo que no usaba esta técnica, y no sabía cómo iba a resultar. Pero al final, confié en el proceso y en mi habilidad como artista. Sabía que quería crear una obra impactante y que dejaría a todos impresionados.

Lo que más me gustó de esta técnica fue la forma en que me permitió jugar con la luz y la sombra. Fue todo un reto, pero logré crear una pieza con una gama de grises que permitió destacar los detalles y la textura del personaje.

Por supuesto, también hice algunos cambios en el personaje original. Le quité parte de su vestimenta y dejé su torso descubierto para darle un toque más dramático y atractivo. Además, agregué algunos detalles adicionales para enfatizar la inmortalidad del personaje y su poder.

En general, estoy muy satisfecho con el resultado de mi fanart de "Immortalis". Espero que les guste tanto como a mí me gustó crearlo. No importa cuál sea el resultado del concurso, lo importante es que siempre estamos en constante evolución y aprendizaje como artistas. ¡Gracias por leer y apreciar mi trabajo!

In the early years of the Arena Games, many battle mages began working together and formed guilds. All across the Splinterlands, they combined their resources to construct halls, lodges, barracks, stores, and even arenas where they hosted brawls—tournaments that pitted guilds against one another in a series of battles to prove which was the best.

En los primeros años de los Juegos de Arena, muchos magos de batalla empezaron a trabajar juntos y formaron gremios. A lo largo y ancho de las Tierras Esparcidas, combinaron sus recursos para construir salones, logias, cuarteles, tiendas e incluso arenas en las que organizaban reyertas: torneos que enfrentaban a los gremios entre sí en una serie de batallas para demostrar cuál era el mejor.

I would like to tell you a little bit about the process of creating my digital drawing of "Immortalis". As I mentioned before, I decided to use the grayscale technique and then apply color to the artwork, which involved a series of steps and creative decisions. I started by sketching the character, I was guided by the image of the card that is presented on the official website of the game, I looked for a pose and composition that conveyed the power and immortality of the character, I thought of designing the character with the torso uncovered, I wanted to detail very well the musculature of the character to make it look imposing. Once I had the base sketch, I started working on the details, adding fine lines and shadows to give shape and texture to the character. Then, I started to apply the grayscale, adjusting the shadow and light levels to highlight the most important details of the drawing. In this step I apply layer after layer of shading, very subtle but gradually increasing the shadows in the work.

Me gustaría contarles un poco sobre el proceso de creación de mi dibujo digital de "Immortalis". Como mencioné anteriormente, decidí usar la técnica de escala de grises para luego aplicar color a la obra, lo cual implicó una serie de pasos y decisiones creativas. Comencé por bocetear el personaje, me guíe de la imagen de la carta que se presenta en la página oficial del juego, busqué una pose y composición que transmitiera el poder y la inmortalidad del personaje, se me ocurrió diseñar al personaje con el torso descubierto, quería detallar muy bien la musculatura de el personaje para que se viera imponente. Una vez que tenía el boceto base, empecé a trabajar en los detalles, añadiendo líneas finas y sombras para darle forma y textura al personaje. Luego, empecé a aplicar la escala de grises, ajustando los niveles de sombra y luz para resaltar los detalles más importantes del dibujo. En este paso voy aplicando capas tras capas de sombreado muy sutiles pero que van aumentando poco a poco las sombras en la obra.

After this, I started to apply the color, looking for a palette that would highlight the most outstanding aspects of the character and accentuate his presence, in this step I use the "soft light" blending method as in the shading I apply layer after layer of color until I reach the desired tone. It was an interesting and challenging process, but as I progressed, I began to see how my vision was taking shape on the screen. Finally, I adjusted the final details, such as reflections and shadows, to give depth and realism to the drawing. Overall, the process was long but satisfying. I had to be patient and careful at every step to make sure the final result was what I had in mind. I hope you enjoyed learning a little more about my creative process. Después de esto, empecé a aplicar el color, buscando una paleta que destacara los aspectos más sobresalientes del personaje y acentuara su presencia, en este paso uso el método de mezcla "luz suave" al igual que en el sombreado voy aplicando capa tras capas de color hasta llegar al tono deseado. Fue un proceso interesante y desafiante, pero a medida que avanzaba, empecé a ver cómo mi visión iba tomando forma en la pantalla. Finalmente, ajusté los detalles finales, como los reflejos y las sombras, para darle profundidad y realismo al dibujo. En general, el proceso fue largo pero satisfactorio. Tuve que ser paciente y cuidadoso en cada paso para asegurarme de que el resultado final fuera lo que yo tenía en mente. Espero que les haya gustado conocer un poco más sobre mi proceso creativo.
