I had the recent revelation that i could use a goldmine of artwork created by my dad, in the Gnarworld game. My dad is an artist his name is John Goulet and he has a giant body of work. His work is outsider-art and the figures that he paints are very interesting. This devlog / studio update is about how I have been photographing his work and animating the people in his paintings.
I have also been drawing some repeating tile textures. i learned a technique to turn any kind of pattern into a repeating texture. this allows you to repeat the image in all directions so that the sides of the image fit together seamlessly.

there are hundred of NPCs that i can cut out and use in the game. i think this will give our game a certainly unique appearance. they look good in game already
they are under a bridge so they are behind a shadow, thats why they look dark.
we are going to re-build the entire city.
up to now we have been kind of just making-as-we-go but we now realize we need to plan.
