Espero se encuentren muy bien, el día de hoy he venido a presentar una nueva entrada al concurso de Splinterlands, en esta oportunidad he decidido dibuja a Barthalamas un genio nacido del fuego y la ágil e intrépida gnomo Deep Delver una pareja bastante dispareja, pero me gusto mucho la combinación de ambos, a continuación les mostrare un poco del proceso de creación, espero que sea de su agrado.

I hope you are all doing well. Today I am here to submit a new entry to the Splinterlands contest. This time, I have decided to draw Barthalamas, a genius born of fire, and the agile and intrepid gnome Deep Delver, a rather unlikely pair, but I really liked the combination of the two. Below, I will show you a little bit of the creation process. I hope you like it.
Para este dibujo cambie un poco el proceso tenia varias idea rondándome la cabeza, así que tome papel y lápiz y comencé a dibujar en tradicional, a que estaba solo dando vueltas en el formato digital, la idea para este era crear al personaje grande y presumido junto a uno mas pequeño y sencillo que no cae ente los encantos del otro, fue entonces que comencé creando este personaje con grandes pectorales y músculos muy marcados y luego imagine a la gnomo siendo usada por el grande para sostener su brazo y así ha quedado este primer acercamiento.
For this drawing, I changed the process a little. I had several ideas floating around in my head, so I took paper and pencil and started drawing traditionally, as I was just going around in circles in the digital format. The idea for this one was to create a large, conceited character alongside a smaller, simpler one who is not charmed by the other. So I started by creating this character with large pectorals and very defined muscles, and then I imagined the gnome being used by the large character to hold his arm, and that's how this first draft turned out.
Luego pase este dibujo a digital, en cierto modo ya tenia bastante claro como luciría Barthalamas, y en este dibujo solo modifique y definí mejor algunos músculos, pero en general lo conserve casi igual que mi primer dibujo, en el caso de Deep Delver, si tenia algunos elementos que modificar, en especial sus brazos entrelazados, estaba algo confundida con la anatomía en este punto, así que busque algunas referencias para ayudarme y termine resolviéndolo bastante bien.
Then I digitized this drawing. In a way, I already had a pretty clear idea of what Barthalamas would look like, and in this drawing I only modified and better defined some muscles, but in general I kept it almost the same as my first drawing. In the case of Deep Delver, I did have some elements to modify, especially his intertwined arms. I was a little confused about the anatomy at this point, so I looked for some references to help me and ended up figuring it out pretty well.
A continuación procedí con a colocar la base de color, para ello tome como siempre de referencia los colores originales del arte de Splinterlands, coincidentemente estos personajes tienen cada uno una paleta complementaria con el otro personaje.
Next, I proceeded to apply the base color, using the original colors from the Splinterlands artwork as a reference, as usual. Coincidentally, each of these characters has a complementary palette with the other character.
Luego comencé a definir a estos personajes en primer lugar por el grandote, definiendo muy bien su musculatura, una cosa que tenia en cuanta desde el primero momento es que su cabello esta hecho de flama, así que debía considerar la luz producida por este así que desde este punto comencé a proyectar la luz sobre la piel de este personaje,
Para generar el efecto de fuego cree varias capas con diferentes tonos de naranja y amarillo con las formas del fuego hasta llegar a un tono mu claro cerca de las raíces de su cabello.
Then I began to define these characters, starting with the big guy, carefully defining his musculature. One thing I took into account from the outset was that his hair is made of flame, so I had to consider the light produced by it. From this point on, I began to project light onto this character's skin.
To create the fire effect, I created several layers with different shades of orange and yellow with the shapes of fire until I reached a very light shade near the roots of his hair.
Lo siguiente fue definir el resto de su atuendo simulando efecto metálico de sus joyas y los pliegues de su ropa, luego procedí a de definir a Deep Delver, para ella también proyecte la luz de la llamas de Bartalamas y definí su piel y el resto de su atuendo, de este personaje me gusto especialmente su rostro mirando con algo de molestia a su compañero de esta ocasión.
The next step was to define the rest of her outfit, simulating the metallic effect of her jewelry and the folds of her clothing. Then I proceeded to define Deep Delver. For her, I also projected the light of Bartalamas' flames and defined her skin and the rest of her outfit. I especially liked this character's face, looking somewhat annoyed at her companion on this occasion.
Para este dibujo no conté desde el principio cual seria el fondo, así que comencé a improvisar un poco sobre cual seria un buen escenario, y se me ocurrió dibujarlos en las ruinas de un templo abandonado, enterándose hasta este punto que llegaron muy tarde para encontrar eso que estaban buscando.
For this drawing, I didn't decide on the background from the beginning, so I started improvising a little about what would be a good setting, and it occurred to me to draw them in the ruins of an abandoned temple, realizing at this point that they had arrived too late to find what they were looking for.
Y finalmente así ha quedado esta nueva ilustración para la comunicad Splinterlands, disfrute mucho del proceso y me gusto mucho el resultado obtenido, ¿Que opinan ustedes si es Barthalamas el galán que todos dicen?
And finally, this is how this new illustration for the Splinterlands community turned out. I really enjoyed the process and I love the result. What do you think? Is Barthalamas the heartthrob everyone says he is?
