The answer is of course you can, but you can't see the sun just the light
Yesterday I tried to take pictures of the sun, I was very curious if we could take pictures of the sun, apparently I proved it could, but not all of it could only be the light and its shape.
In my opinion taking clear pictures of the sun it cannot, because it is obstructed by the light, the light is so bright we cannot take pictures clearly, I took pictures of the sun in this post I use a Samsung Galaxy A20 Mobile camera. I don't know if using a Nikon camera maybe yes you can, you can prove it yourself.
