A really weird obsession with kangaroos

Obsession is a curious thing and while it can be good or bad for us depending on the obsession most people are obsessed with something to a lesser or greater degree. I know a few people (like Christian Bale) who are obsessed with sleep - I may be one of them - and I know people who are obsessed with physical activity, polar opposites, but legitimate obsessions for those who have them.

I don't think it's necessarily bad to have an obsession, it can show passion and personality, although there's obsessions that can be detrimental to one's health either mental or physical and those which can cause great harm to the individual or others. An obsession with a person, lets say a work colleague for instance, and the behaviours that may result can go badly; we had one such case recently where a man murdered a woman in a situation like this due to his obsession which has affected so many people. So obsession can be harmless, a passionate emotion that doesn't hurt anyone whatsoever and can also go catastrophically badly as well.

I'm obsessed with a few things which translates to being passionate about a few things to the point of needing to engage with them as much as possible for the enjoyment factor.

My partner is one such passion, Formula One racing is another, reading of books, my cat Cleo, being the best version of myself...all passions and, I'll go as far as saying, obsessions. There's others...nature, music, my sense of honour and integrity...so many others but I think you get the idea. What I find interesting though, is what people think my obsessions are.

No one on Hive knows me well enough to list my passions with perhaps the exception of my brother @tarazkp who knows me well. People can pick out something I've mentioned, an activity I do, and call it an obsession however that's merely their (usually clueless) perception rather than a fact. It's ok though, I don't mind. What I think is important however is that a person is passionate about something as life is too short not to hold such emotions.

With that in mind, I'd like to throw it open to you and ask what are some of your own passions. You can lie or be honest with it, I don't really care, and if you have a really weird obsession with kangaroos that's ok too although you might be fucken weird.
